I have to say some of the features are superb. Almost as good as the dbox2 now ok, maybe not.

up to you m8, but the highlighted text is totally wrong, you cant ftp as you state and that means theres no support? im sorry m8 others get by and even the ones who struggle seem to get it going in the end.

the first post by devilfish has everything you need and it even states where to put what and the files are also linked so theres no having to find them.

i know you might be frustrated or pulling your hair out but that doesnt mean that posting theres no support for these boxes is correct.

as said tho its your choice so if you want to sell yours its your choice.

just a couple of questions , how do you remove the EPG bar ? or should i say let it stop on a few secs then sod off ,mines always there , and when FTP ing were's the "picon" folder ? i cant seem to find that.

have been testing this image for a bit now and never had that m8 ?

picon does take a lot of room in /var though, that's why it's left out and it's an option to enable. (yellow - Kaos Extra Settings)

im normally ok with flashing/ftping but with this im getting quite abit of freezing probs on boot and when i select a channel.the EPG comes and stays on and no pic even though i've ftp'ed the stuff from the link " dreambox stuff" .

I've only just got round to installing this on my dads DM500.

It's ~~~~ing brilliant, I really love the skin, the image is fast as ~~~~ aswell, DW2.0 always seemed a wee bit sluggish on my dads machine but I'm getting instant responses with this image, I really like it - dare I say that it's better than my previous favourite image range, the awesome BLADE series by XENOFAN.

Well done Glen and all the beta testers.

One thing I don't like, the ~~~~ing PANIC button, I'll guarantee you my dad will be phoning me before the week is out moaning that he has lost all his channels and he'll say "I never touched anything, honest!"

unless you get a knock at the door (no matter how slim) then you will love it .

so let me get this right , i download the "dreambox_stuff" from the share file link in this thread.i then copy everything from the "keys" folder over to the "keys" folder in my dreambox then everything from the "scce" folder over to my dreambox "scce" folder then hit the "info" button for 3 secs and start evocam up , then a scan ?.
with the old DW-V2 i just ftp'ed the rom 7-10-11 to the keys and scanned then fired over my bouq's.im just little confused as to which gets sent to were.

u can do that m8 and just start the emu with the info button , but l dont condone it ..

i dont know why im having so much difficulties sorting this but when i do scan i cant get rid of the ~~~~in EPG bar , ,the big daft grey bar just doesnt go after 6 secs like its set to.

Just wanted to say thanks for the image,I will know better after a few days of use but it looks good so far.
The idiot comment in the title of my message is for anyone who has had problems with the image like I did at the start,the solution was simple just read the info supplied by Devilfish and don't forget to start the EMU like i did.

Missing font="Blue.Regular;25"

press menu 5511 then highlight >Enable Zap-OSD< and press OK. Exit menu.
Be aware the box freeze or restart after prompting this error message. To get rid of it, untick >Enable Zap-OSD< .

I guess the problem is in skin file called default.esml located in /share/tuxbox/enigma/skins/

I tried to edit this file to change the code, but no joy. This file is write protected and I can not change its attribute using flashFxp.

can somebody shome how to edit this file or replace it. thanks

cyberbob , no disrespect but that "idiot" remark is a bit below the belt.if you have problems with the image and you have read the thread and are still struggling to sort it then what's the harm in asking ?. surely that's part n parcel of a forum , help and advice.
