Then in that case...use a bootloader to get you up and running then use the ipk package via the menu....though im not sure if it will let you browse for it locally, i think it has to come to the box via a server of some sort. To be honest i have not heard of any reasons why you should use it

No problem...good to go then all bar ITV HD...not sure how to go about getting that. Whilst i thank you for your working image i thought it best to build my own from scratch to give me an idea of exactly what needs to be added and what goes where, with regard to the key and roms are these the same as the DM500c and what about the cams ? where do i get them from and which folder do they go in and what cams should i be using...thanks

UPDATE: Well i tried the nabilo sat BHv12 image and used bootloader 72r1 straight after..gotta say im very impressed and i think its a lot better than the gemini i was using, found my HDD straight away and initialised it for use without fuss or hassle, i am really enjoying using it at the moment, just need to get the decrypted channels going.

Are you still using the cable turner or Sat? Is there any easier way to clear the current list of channels left on bonesy's scan other than to manually add them to favourites and delete from there? because I currently have 2-3 listing for each channel and its driving me nuts..

I have another question for you, My box is now up and running however i had to do a scan in my own area and now I have 2-3 listing of the same channel, your existing listing before the scan and the channels I found in my own scan. What I want to do now is delete all existing services and do a fresh scan. I havent been successful at all with this.
I use dreamboxedit software for sorting all my channels..itsin downloads section.

I only have a cable tuner in it, you should be able to set it to clear channels before you perform the scan.

As you have a dm500c it should easy enough to find a freqeuncy to start your scan, I'm lucky as I know mine to be 118, goto your dm500c and get the BBC HD channel up, I'm not sure what the button sequence is but you need to looks at the stream info for that channell, suppose you could call it properties, that should tell you what the freqency of that channell is and you can enter that into your manual scan on the dm800c. I have found as have you that developmentfor these is in the early stages for us in the uk, hence we don't have a cables.XML we can use or pre configured area scan or, as you will soon find out, a working epg.

On another Note, the dreambox dosent seem to shut down completely as the dvi output is kind of still active. The problem is I use hdmi switch as my tv has only one hdmi port. and what happens with the switch is that the last device switched on connected to the switch is the one that is output to the TV however in the case of the DM800hd, even when its switch off, Its still not letting my PS3 for example connect through the port, currently what am doing is to take the power plug out of the 800hd, but i cannot be doing this all the time, and to be honest I got this box basically due to the HD channels and I wouldnt want to use scart plug, would there be anyting in settings to completely switch off the dvi port when the box is switched off.
