    Scanning problem
I have just downloaded and updated to DK 1.1 image via the internet but I do not have any additional areas listed to preform a quick scan.
The only options I have is 6887, 6952, Bruteforce and I use 6952 as usual but it takes about 15 minutes. I am in ex TW area Gateshead.
Am I doing something wrong, were are the quick scan option? Thanx in advance

just flashed with this image looks very nice and for that fast scanning a joy, i had the Djor 0.6 au for a while and was not realy happy with that image which had freezing issues, tried a few images but so far so good this i like, will keep you updated once i get used to the interface which i like loads with all the extras and new features to play with, off to flash the second box .....see you soon.

ITgate TGM220 (swapable tuner), Dreambox 800 pro, Dreambox 500c x 2, DBox, Popbox media player.

Great work mate! I've been away and come back to find this - 100% top result.

Love the Search EPG thingamy too!

            <--middlewingnut added 1 Minutes and 46 Seconds later...-->

Oh, I meant to say - I'm in Poole (right next to Bournemouth ex c+w) the Bournemouth option did not work, but I knew that it needed to scan the 6952 set of transponders so I used the Bolton one (the first one I found on 6952).

I guess you may want to add in an option for Poole on 6952 - for completeness - but it works just beautifully now!

Thanks m8, there will never be a complete list of all areas, I'll try to add them as people say. But I need to know the default frequency as well, that the frequency that the FLASH channel is on.

Just upgraded Devilfish, my area isn't included in the fast scanning so I will send you the details via PM so that you can include it in your next release. I know there's at-least 3 of us that need it!

Still, cracking image mate and thanks for the work.

One more thing....will you be introducing sideways scrolling of bouquets into this image? Or maybe it's there already and I have missed it?

Sideways scrolling is already included, use the < and > keys either side of the 0 key.

Ah thats why, I'm using a Harmony and have my left and right keys mapped to the Bouquet Left & Right Keys from the DB Remote....I will change this mapping to the other keys and all should be OK.

Question: Why not use the normal bouquet scrolling keys?

When in the bouquets, the +vol and -vol keys jump to the next page down and I like it that way.

The standard dm500 remotes dont have a bouquet up and down key, only the larger dm7000/dm600 remote has these keys.

Thanks for this image, brilliant. I do have a slight problem though. I seem to have everything except SP1 and SP3 and Disney channels, which won't go down well with the young un in the morning!
                          Thanks again.

That's not an image problem, more likely a signal problem. Reconnect all coax cables and try another scan. Or scan at another time of the day.

Thanks, but I tried that already. I'll try again at different times of the day. I used the bruteforce UK is this the best one to use?

The best one to use is the town/city where you stay.

If it's not on the list, then use either the 6887 (ex-ntl) or 6952 (ex-tw) options.

If you don't know either of the above, then use the Bruteforce option. This is a combination of both 6887 and 6952 options. It's twice as long, half of the frequencies are for another network so it's a waste of time scanning them. But if you don't know, it's the best option.

The town/city option takes less than 2 minutes to scan in every channel. The next option takes about 6-10 minutes and the bruteforce option take about 20-40 minutes.
