hello, basically had enough of starview so have purchased a dreambox 500s. knew it would be complicated but hoped i'd figure it out. quick question will this guide work with the 500s because it is titled 500c. not sure what the differences are ( if any ) or if using this guide on my 500s will screw me over b4 i've got started? i have already downloaded dreamup, flashwizard, dcc and plumped for darkstar2 as my image. any suggestions as to other things required or alternatives also very welcome.

Hi Shady77 - Maybe I'm coming at this ( 3 years!) too late but I'm having trouble downloading the fourth download in your guide - keys and roms . The link opens to a rapidshare site with says dreambox_stuff 1.43Mb download, but no link to download it. There is an upload link which just brings me to the contents of a Chrome folder. All help to progress appreciated.

Great information from the guide and this thread. It seems there is a lot of different information on the web pertaining to dreambox setups. It all seems to go down to what individuals want to get out of their dreambox usage. Seems easier to set up a dreambox with satellite service than with cable service.
