All he needs is dreamboxedit. It will load the files in belfast folder and ftp them to the dreambox for him.

X + 1?

Go to a command prompt on your PC.

Type ipconfig and look for the ip address of your PC.

It will almost certainly be something like this:

192.168.1.x

Your dreambox will be x+1 or possibly x+2 or 3 depending on how many other bits of kit you have.

Just trial and error it until you get the right one.

For example if my CPU IP address is 192.168.1.54

Would the IP of the dreambox be 192.168.1.55 or would it be 192.168.1.54.1

That will not work, factory reset will erase your cam files also.
just grab the new file I uploaded a few posts up and use dreamboxedit to ftp them to the box...job done.

Hmmm this isn't as straightforward as I thought it would be haha, can you recommend any step by step guides on how to do this? Also, I assume I need to be using a crossover cable?

Hey, after a bit of messing about (Was for giving up haha) I finally got it sorted.

Dreambox IP set to 192.168.1.1
Network adaptor set to 192.168.1.2

All the rest default settings, didn't bother to back up old files as they are now out of date and useless, selected files I had to load in and then clicked send files to DB. Also, one thing I have noticed since putting on the new files is that I now have more of a transponder choice (Used to have only 5 or so, now there's a long list and was able to select one specifically for my area)

So thank you guys for the info and Bonesy for the files, keeps my DB going a bit longer until they all go for good.

Has anyone else seen that when you go to "information" and look at an encrypted channels "stream info" its says coding systems used

That's definitely only showed up recently, as I check this every now and then.... so I guess the more obvious question here is - how longs these test phases last until cleared to switch over?...as thats when we're screwed for good

can some one point me in the right direction a mate done a factory reset on his box ive never done a dreambox before no other boxes but not these ones when i scan its showing me all the channels when i go to skysports 1 hold info for three seconds and evocamd 2.12 stops and runs again its showing me channels but when i go into them there blank ive went in and had a look in banquet but nothing there ive i need to redo the box any1 no were i can get a workin image for dream box 500c thanks in advance

Hi mate, the way I did it was just browse and point the program (Dreambox edit I used) to the Belfast folder and then connect DB up and hit "Send files to Dreambox" then "Reload settings on Dreambox" worked for me.

I have a DB500C and they worked perfectly.

do as he says, use dreamboxedit program, makes it easier for you and does all the business automatically....dreamboxedit is available in downloads section.

factory reset will erase roms etc.. also so no it will not work with you putting all the roms and keys back on the box.

Guys, Ive loaded the contents of the belfast folder via dreamedit & uploaded to the db but the bouquets havent changed. The original ones are still there with service removed in every folder. All channels are listed under the red button. Any help with how I can get the bouquets to update? I'm using the DK image v1.1 on a 500c. Thanks.
