If you are using an older HQK3388/FY901C and tried to flash the .ar files attached in earlier post and your box go into a loop and unable to startup , you could revert back to the "Aug 12 2009" firmware using my attachment.

WARNING:

The card slot is on the side, NOT front facing slot!!

This firmware BK is 8c 01 .... 18

Just get the WangKa with above mentioned BK, market price for such card is about S$20.

There is nothing wrong with the file.
Perhaps the problems lies with your connection.

These card won't expire within 5 years.

By the time they expired, this local N1 system would probably no longer in use.

I guess when u meant lag, I assume u meant the video is jerky and the image is pixelated (bit and pieces of images)?

If thats the case, 2 likely causes:

1) The CATV antenna signal is weak.
Check the cable and the wall connection, and the box connection.

2) Set-top Box kaput!
Long hours of use would overheat electronic components, and over a long period of time there could be electrical surges which burnt the circuit on the set-top-box, probably the image decoder chip or the tuner receiver unit.

I believe that you are using Nagra Vision card, nowadays only this card will work. And also the lagging doesn't cause by the card. To my experience this could be cause by the antenna cable.

Do you relocate the box recently, add/remove signal splitter? Or you may try change the antenna cable. Cheer.

Hi, I had 2 FY 901 C, set A and set B. I mess up set A channels sequence, and set B channels sequence s ok. If there a way to clone set B channels to set A, so that both set had the same channels sequence? Thank you.

I have a FY 901C and like to upgrade the firmware. I connect the FY 901C to my PC COM 1 port using a cross cable and connect to my TV via composite cable. On the PC side, I run 5105comm.exe and select COM 1. On the TV side, I don't see anything. Please advise, what should I do, so that I can see something (communication with my PC) on my TV side? Thank you.

U dont see anything on TV, only on the computer screen during upgrade. These box r more than 5yrs old, is it worth the trouble? After upgrade, u still hv card xpire problems.

Luckily, after 5 years, till now, I am still able to watch many channels (no hd). No card expire problems.
