Here are examples of what the keylist.txt file looks like.

Some people may be starting from a blank file and only adding the keys and not the other information.

If you take these files as a complete template, if you're editing them, only change the 16 characters grouped together, don't add a space anywhere, don't remove a space anywhere!

Not the characters in the set of 4 are different for each provider.

You can check what area you are in by going here...

          Thank you all very much!

I had my keys in the right format but after using that site to check, i was using the wrong keys!

Il try the correct ones and hopefully that will cure the problem

i wiped all the keys off, turned to sky spo and rebooted evocam, left it for a few mins then went in to edit the keys and there were 2 new ones there, i only had to change 1 digit on the 00 line

because au isnt working m8 thats why your here ..it just has to be turned off as in the posts before

this part of the camd_cfg file should look like this
                  # AU
                  # 00 is ignored (default)
                  # 01 enable AU
                  # 02 AU Auto
                  A: { 00 }

If you dont turn it off it will AU the wrong keys but if you turn it off it will be o.k until they change the keys again. I think thats right anyway.

Hey guys im still really confused.

                      Ive disabled AU
Ive checked my area (Bromley (ex. Cable & Wireless) platform.)
Ive checked my keys are in the correct format.

                      and it still says

                      FTA or cannon Decode

Worse than auto updating the wrong keys it appears to remove all keys except the wrong one. That is not normal, usually new keys are added as extras.

In the keylist.txt file you don't need the ; after the key, I think it is just the start of the comment about the key. I have nothing after the key in my file and it works fine. Everything after the 16 digit key is ignored. Sometimes a # is used before the comments

Are you stopping the cam before you exit the key file?
Which key file are you editing?
It might help if you briefly explain the steps you are using to change the keys.
