when i install this image in my nokia dbox2 will i get all the chanales when i scan for uk 6952 and put network id 2x image!

I must be having a dense moment, as I have re-imaged, copied over files and chmod emu, still getting on FTA

Sorted... I had just been using evo from previous image..

A good day, replaces severly screwed LCD, and added a HDD.

I was being dense, and it didnt chmod the evocam to 755.
I did this via my ftp software, but can be done also by telnet.

If it was in regards to my other post, I had a LCD panel that suffered badly wit the vertical strips, virtually to the point that it wasnt usable. Ordered a new part, and at the same time a IDE interface.
Now its fitted, it was obviously brought to my attention a poor tuner, as now its fitted I cant get some channels unless the lid is off the case!

It really looks an excellent image and I would very much like to see it running fully.

We usually chmod files via FTP, where you right click on the file, select Attributes (chmod) then change the number in the Permissions box from 644 to 755

This makes an 'executeable' file into a file that can do it's job, and execute when commanded to do so.

It's also VERY easy to do locally, using your Remote Control, and Tuxbox Commander (in the Blue button menu):

Navigate to the folder containing your target file and cursor down to highlight it.
Press 1 (rights)
read is green
write is green
execute is red

green = Yes and Red = No
so this file is chmod 644 and cannot execute.

Press the UP arrow key so execute has a white box around it
Press OK, and the Red square changes to a Green square.
Press the Down key to highlight the Red OK button onscreen
Press OK on the R/C, then Home to Exit, Yellow to not save settings.

Congratulations- you've just made a file chmod 755!!

You can do it via Telnet, too- if anyone's interested?

Evo seems to be the preferred one, if it does its job for you then thats all you need out of it

Ok, just FTP'd the *entire evocamd folder* into var/bin/emu, and chmod to 755.

I'd backed up my k*ys from 9.25, and copied them into the vars/keys folder of 10c.

After I moved the Evocam folder over, rebooted, couldnt find any channels, so rescanned - found 5.

Went in and set up my cable area and provider, rescanned, now tot 257 channels and still scanning.

Is this going to work, or do I need to copy the *contents* of evocamd over, rather than the entire folder?

Ooops...

The scan said it found c280 channels.
When OK'd to exit scan on completion, reports "No channels".

FTP'd back in again to move the *contents* of evocamd rather than the entire folder, now FlashFXP says "9 files failed to transfer" and won't let me transfer the files over?

a) do I transfer the contents, or the entire folder
b) any idea why I cant xfer the files - target folders set to 755?

When you do a scan you should then reload channel list or reboot the box
