Can u just confirm if I FTP the entire EvoCamd folder across,or just the contents?

ie.,do *files* appear in var/bin/emu,or var/bin/emu/evocamd_whatever ?

I have the second option above (moved the entire folder).

Just rebooted -still "No channels were found!"?

Just did rebooted then manually selected "reload channels list" - still "no channels found!"....

Just to confirm, all was fine running the original cam in TC10c (found and showed 280 channels, FTA open, non-fta scrambled but shown). Since I ftp's the evocamd folder over (found in this thread), the scan still finds all the channels, but on completion shows "no channels found!".

Any help much apreiated!!!

You only need to copy over the evocamd file m8, and reboot box.

SORTED! Here's how - may help other noobs...

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say I sorted it now, and thought i'd post back here in case anyone else gets in the same mess I did...

Basically, just used the files from Tools (The Real Magic Files), cleared out the folders it mentioned, then FTP'd the files accross.

(MODS - I assume it's ok to post external URL's, I found that site on here in the first place.)

BTW - there seems to be a file that looks like it should go in "\lib" - I dont have that folder, so I just ignored it - seems to work ok.

NB - the EvoCamD in there appears to be 2.17 (the latest I believe).

Set my area, set provider - rescanned - rebooted - sorted!

Hopefully some of the other newer members will find this of help...

Again, for those just getting into this, there's a useful boquet editor on that site too - just sort out my boquets, the EPG then I'm done!

As always, sincere thanks and kudos to the devs and their hard work on TC10c...

Slightly unsure of EPG setup?

Evening all,

Finally got TC10c up and running fine

Now, in my reading today, i've read a lot about the 7 day EPG, editing the EPG filter (in my case, NTL_epgfilter.xml) etc, putting PVR_EPG out of unsorted and into a bouquet, leave it on PVR_EPG for 10mins to recieve EPG data etc - done all that.

Looking at the filter xml listed above, I see that some of the "standard" channels (i.e BBC1) have already been added to the xml by default, so they should be "downloaded" I believe?

When I go to any of the channels listed in there, they all just say "EPG not loaded / Waiting for EPG".

Also, by default i recall reading that they should at least have "Now and Next"? Mine are showing nowt!

Any help on this last bit guys?

Just noticed that "EPG Directory" under Miscellaneous Settings is blank - i.e doesnt tell it which dir to store the EPG data in - is this correct? Which folder should I point this at, should I create a new one?

Hi guys,

Well - got the cams n keys working fine, edited the bouquets using bouquet wizard, exported them back to the box, so far so good.

Just after I exprted them back to the box, the channels are in the right (new) bouquets, but none of the channels actually show a picture - even the FTA's! (no audio, nada).

They show the channel logo, "Waiting for EPG" (which I've not got working on TC10c yet), and a blank screen.

I did see an OSD about "waiting for time" briefly (which I believe can inicate a tuner problem if this persists), but this has gone now, time's correct - so I assume this was just it syncing.

Any ideas people? Was working fine (barring EPG setup) yesterday...

All the channels now say "Channel Not Available" / "EPG Not Available"...

OK, did Reload Channel Lists, Reload Neutrino, Restart EPG.

Rebooted, "Waiting for time".

Rebooted - WORKED!

For about 2seconds... image freezes, then back to "Channel / EPG not available".

Does this imply an issue with the key or cam?
BTW - I havent yet updated evocamd to "autoupdate" (set to 2 somewhere) - could this be it, codes changed again?

Just checked "AU" section in /var/keys/camd_cgf, already set to a: {02} (auto), so I believe autoupdate on the cam is enabled.

Also, the "Now N Next" on BBC1 seems to be working to some degree, has "No info for current programme", but the next prog listed. No EPG on other channels (No EPG loaded), still no pic on any channels.

Have you put new roms in ? and reloaded your service files. i find ucode 001a and evocam work best for me. Make sure all connections are snug and take any splitters out you may have.

Currently using Evocamd (vers 2.17 I recall).
Got the keys and cams from the Mercs/tools site after I got into a bit of a mess yesterday...

I used Ucode 0014 on 9.25 (and that version of Evocamd), I'll try changing it to the one you suggest...

Thing I dont get is that this was all working perfectly yesterday (eventually!) using 0014, same keys - the only thing I changed today was edit the bouquets!

UPDATE - working! (Shhh, dont speak too loudly! ).

Switch to Ucode 001a, and it works now...

Just out of interest, do you have any idea why this should need changing? It worked on 0014 before? Just so I'll know for next time!

Could you clarify a few things on the EPG for me - i'm only gettng N&N on some channels (I know about the 7 day vs N&N xml file - working on that now), where others have no epg data at all.

Is it just a case of waiting for the data - I believe all channels have N&N by default - you add the ones you want 7 day epg for into the new proider xml?

Switching to PVR_EPG for a while to see if they update... just added the new sectionsd file, so I guess this should switch the channels listed in the provider XML to "do want 7 day for"... if that works then it's easy enough to add chnls to that.

To my thinking though, anything not in that list should at least have N&N?

not sure about gateway but im a newbie set dbox to 192.168.0.2. then gateway 192.168.0.1 . then on pc (using vista ) went into network card and opened properties on v4 . clicked alternate config then put ip 192.168.0.1. and also set gateway to 192.168.0.1 . then used core ftp and set host as 192.168.0.2 and gateway 192.168.0.2 user - root and password -commando .always connects straight away with no trouble

OK guys, quick update re my EPG issue... kinda fixed it.

My initial problem was I was under the impression that the "example" channels in the provider epg xml should work for 7 days epg. THEY DONT - they have generic channel freq etc for the area the image was originally created in. You have to copy and paste channel lines in from your own bouquet file - my mistake, obv now I realise it!

My 2nd issue was that I couldnt get the Now N Next on the other channels NOT in the 7 day list to work at all.

Basically, added the majority of channels into that 7 day EPG xml, then set the EPG days to "2" in the on screen menu to save space (rather than a full 7 days).

Works for me - maybe of help to others.
