    ## New Commando 10c image.. back to JFFS2##

Continuing with the continuos, Commando update n tweak

    Commando 10c

    ==========================================

    Bugs fixed:
No scrolling in Bouquet Editor (CVS bug, now fixed)
NFS bug (missing file- should now be OK)

    What's New?

    7 Day EPG v3

With the valued assistance of FreddyFrog, we've given the EPG a major make-over, including:

+ A new Blue button menu for 7 Day EPG

+ Option to change the default 'standard' sectionsd EPG to 7 Day EPG for YOUR provider!

+ dbox automatically switches to the PVR_EPG channel in Standby Mode - to pull in the extended 7 days epg. When you wake the box up, it switches back to the previously viewed channel.

    + Simplified daily Timers

You can easily edit these times up or down in hourly increments, to suit your daily routine. The channel you wake up to is entirely dependant on your preferred settings in Settings > Misc > Zapit Config -ie:

Save last Channel = true (you'll wake up to RH 40+ Wives, LOL!)

    Save last Channel = false
Start TV Channel on = (whatever channel you select)

Even if you are running with sectionsd in 'standard' mode, (which usually gives a maximum of 15 hours epg across all channels), you'll find these daily timers will now give you 3 to 4 Days EPG!! Also, users who prefer this mode can still restrict selected channels to Now 'n Next epg only, by populating the old_epgfilter.xml file in accordance with the simple instructions in the header text of that file.

When switching from standard to 7 Day (for ntl, ex-C&W, or TW)- or vice versa, a reboot is required so the new epgfilter data is read into memory. A pop-up message will ask you if you want to do this.

Experienced 7 Day EPG users can edit 'their' filter file (ntl, C&W, TW) - as whichever one has been selected is now SymLinked 'as' epgfilter.xml

'Your' filter contains the channels you do want long EPG for.

Summary: A famous politician once said "You can't please all the people all the time". Well, Team-Commando and FreddyFrog have done their utmost to prove that theory wrong, at least in the EPG department!

    Credits:
FreddyFrog - for sectionsd dual mode.
    Tyke- for his exC&W filter
    Derekwd- for his TW filter
    Renwich- for creating the image
AL- for his ntl filter, and scripting all this new 7 Day stuff

I have now flashed my box and it works great. All features work great and is nice and quick in the menus. Scrolling through the menus are also ok. Picture is of high grade for a Dbox2. If I was to bring anything up it would be the ethernet option been set to off. In future releases it would be good if this was put to on instead of off other than this GREAT work Respect to you guys..!

The new features sound really good. Well done guys.

Just wondering, does the NFS mounting fix includes the fix for FTPFS mounting (which does not work in Commando 10)?

EPG Plus 7 days doesnt function

Thanks to all the team for their work on the update - it's not often one can see such quick turn around on updates.

I installed the new image and noticed that while the EPG 7 day feature works with 'Eventlist current program' it doesn't with 'Eventlist overview' which to be honest is what I've always been using.

On another note I noticed that the only uCode that seems to work with recording to HDD is the 'uCode Built-in', the uCode0014 and uCode001A both cause image and sync problems.

I noticed that the 'Unsorted' Bouquet has re-appeared - and worked out why I was unable to see any radio stations previously..which isn't a problem anylonger

(for those still on version 10b - the list of radio programs need to belong to a bouquet for you to be able to see them - by default the channels on my box were 'unsorted' and this was not visible in v10b, but I was able to get around this be a complete re-scan and offline edit of the bouquets to add the channels to a new bouquet)

If I discover any other issues I'll let you know..

                  Cheers again

                    New Commando 10c image

This looks great but can some tell me what files I need in the Keys, Emu, Zapit folders. I have tried everything but I still only get FTA channels. How are others getting this to work. Don't seem to be able to resolve this. I have re-imaged a number of times. Change location etc but still no good. Wife is about to divorce me over this box. No m8, its set to on in commando 10c by default, it was set to off in the others though.

You dont know what your missing m8, got it on my box running sweet, with the option for 7 days epg for those that want it and the normal 15 ish hours for those that dont and can even get 3 to 4 days epg with a bit of tweaking in standard mode as explained by Al.

Its the first image to offer these options, Who needs the radio times
