If it adds to work out a possible problem I've had 5 separate phone calls today all with the same problem, some of them of the old Eurovox Max V some the 1000 SL, all rescanned with no joy, reflashed still no joy and cant even get any free to air channels.

Sorry I've been away for a bit my laptop didnt like the hot coffee I accidentally spilt on it. Ether way im starting to think virgin are rolling something out to combat the hacked box's (at least until someone can figure out away around it again).

Same here. No channels from v.m . Even free to air has gone. Got 2 boxes , neither work. Plug cable in to tv and get a coulpe of channels plus fta. Hope someone can sort a fix soon. Cant let vm beat us.

Legit box's are fine its only hacked box's, plus VM's status is saying everything's fine, looking in the other forums people in leeds are seeing similar things on none eurovox's. Plus I didnt get all 5 calls on the same day different days each time I just wasnt able to get online to tell people about it.

Drefsab. Were all these calls from the Manchester area? I've had my box for over a month now, never been right. An engineer came round the other week and gave me a date for when the "digital signal" testing is being turned off in my area so I'm hoping all will be well after that.

Hi there - I live in Manchester and my Eurovox has been working fine for the past few days - i got home from work today and every channel was saying no or bad signal - I have tried numerous resets and power scans - Some channels are installing but the majority are titled TV1 etc and the signal is horrendous - I already have a variable attenteur connected as well - Anyone got any suggestions? Also I have recently got it so it was installed with the latest firmware very recently

All the people who called me over the last couple of weeks were in the manchester area, some in bury, rochdale, oldham etc. I dont know anyone with another make of box to try myself I wish I did because id love to know what the score is.

Yup afraid so, I've just tried again with both of my 1000sl's and a Max V all exactly the same problem.

As mentioned previously in this post they have the correct firmwares on them, the correct symbol rate is selected. They find transponders but almost all channels come up as TVCh01 etc.

When channels are selected it says updating code/no or bad signal, checking in user installation I see the signal is at around 85% and then jumps down into the red 5-10% for a few seconds then comes back up. Im not even able to get radio channels.

All my paid for services are working fine voice is fine, the legit virgin box is working spot on as is the 50mbit broadband. I've even had a VM engineer out who didn't see much of a problem but at my insistence "boosted the signal".

Im really at a loss what to do next, i've got a hormonal pregnant g/f who wants her channels, im really thinking of biting be bullet and just paying ?80+ per month to VM for TV

As per the above two posts i'm having exactly the same problem in the Manchester area.

I am getting some channels but the signal is horrendous and unbearable to watch because of the flickering noise.

I just keep re-deep scanning the baox in the hope it might work but still have no joy - Anybody on here have any suggestions or inside information?

Cownut - Did you have the channels previously then lost them all due to a bad signal?
