      Hey That's GREAT NEWS

But why does all the INFO etc say that they can't be flashed by USB

It's a great selling point - especially to anyone who'se struggled trying to get COMM 1 to work with an RS 232 cable!!

What price are you selling them at Bud

      Info most welcome - Cheers!

        EX1100-USB-PVR

        Hi

I'm new to all this. Have just got a EX1100 this morn and gonna set it up tonight. Have read up that to upgrade the firmware you put it on a USB dongle and plugin and update through the tools menu. Is this correct?

        Cheers NRL1977

I don't have the box but this is what I've read from others who have,
you need to download the file from here Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB_SEP01.abs
then put the file onto your stick
switch your box off and insert usb stick then switch box on
          select menu/tools/upgrade by usb
highlight the firmware on your stick and press red to flash/OK to confirm and very shortly it should be flashed
once its flashed go into the language menu and press RED then 2520 on remote and this gives a screen where you need to turn EMU on (XCAS) then press green to save and exit

                hi

i just did mine yesterday. all fine.

to be honest, though. i did not do the "red button 2520" sequence though as i could not figure out how.

                all seems to work ok

puzzled with the channel layout though, maybe to used to sky+ for so long.

                cheers

When you flash the box, you do NOT need to do the
"red button 2520", this is set to ON by default.
That give you access to the CAS menu.

dont know what went off but i went bought new pen stick, reflashed it, rescanned and all channels now open, not really sure if it was bad flash in first place or the pen stick no good but the box has gone back to its owner fully working. i had a chance to try it out and seems like a nice little box but im into my kryptviews so wont be rushing out with my cheque book to get 1 myself

All the latest firmware is available in the downloads section.
You have to choose the correct firmware for your box model.
