help me with my eurovox 1100 usb

i have got a eurovox 1100 usb and i cant flash the f u cker, bin trying now for 12 hours. i downloaded EX1100USB_090925.abs to a new 8g kingston pen drive doing what the f ucking txt says and f ucking nothing! help me plz!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have the channel freezing problem! Any ideas when a new firmware is to be released?

Use winrar to extract/unrar the abs file needed to flash your box then.....


1). To update the firmware on the box follow below
2) place the usb pen drive into the eurovox,(with the power to the box off) power the box on.
3) Menu.........record......HDD FORMAT...format the usb flash drive..Power the box off and remove the usb flash drive.
4)Place the usb flash drive into the pc and drag and drop the updated beta abs file to its folder.
5)With the power to the eurovox off and all set up on the tv ready to view....Place the usb flash drive into the eurovox and power the box up.
6)menu......TOOLS.......UPGRADE BY USB.....SW..THEN RED BUTTON TO START THE UPGRADE...you'll see a bar move across the screen and the box will reboot..Job done..

REMEMBER,ALWAYS POWER THE BOX DOWN B4 REMOVING/INSERTING THE USB FLASH STICK TO AVOID COSTLY ERRORS.

SCANNING.

MENU.........INSTALL..........POWER-SCAN.....AND START THE SCAN...

this may help people with picture flickering, on Tv system menu i changed the settings to
Display mode:- PAL-N
Aspect Ratio:- Auto
Video Output:- RGB
this stopped the picture goin on and off all the time. might be worth messin with the Tv system settings for people with picture freezin probs an all

I understand that this firmware cures the " SLOT 0 IN/OUT problem". I've just bought an 1100 (not set up yet) how do I know if I have this problem?

If you get the mentioned problem then download this this>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100 Sept25th Beta Firmware

You wont know if you will get that problem or not until you update the firmware. Some people do and some dont.

Fixes the SLOT 0 IN/OUT problem

Put in the root of a USB device and insert into box, on power up the box will detect the drive, press Menu, then from Tools "Upgrade by USB", select the file and make sure the mode is S/W, press RED then OK to load..

Do a factory reset and delete all channels.


Still to do:
Fix EPG for some areas
Default to stereo audio rather than LEFT

press either the green or blue button for audio and change it to stereo,its one of them buttons .

Cure for wife abuse...

Thanks for all the good work done here at Digital Kaos, but with the EPG problem, and ocassional freezing of the picture, I have gone back to a EX1000SL.....
My wife nagged me to death, and constantley moaned at the lack of EPG, and with X-mas just around the corner- I coulden't wait.
I guess if new firmware surfaces before X-mas for the EX1100, I will be able to watch one channel on one box, and reecord another channel on the other box (I know you can watch channels on the same transponder on the EX1100, but as it diden't work well I never tried to see which channels are on which transponder)

complete noob guys just got my box today ex1100 and joined this site and after a bit of reading found everything i needed to get up and running thanks a bunch for the fw and all the posts worked a treat

Is there only 1 person writing updates for this box? As im starting to wish I had not bought it! All I want is Stereo on all stereo channels and a proper auto sort and EPG! :-(
