xa0s, when you get your box you will find that it needs to be flashed first and that means having the right cables and firmware. The f/w you will find in the downloads section under eurovox, The cables you will need are the null modem cable and depending on the age of you pc a null modem to usb adapter (most newer pc's require you to have this cable) Flashing them is easy mate, You just link the box to the pc via the cables I described, Download the f/w and save it somewhere easy to find i.e Desktop. open the file you get in the f/w folder which will be an exe, It will find the box then hit donwload. It will write the f/w to the box after that you're ready to go. You link it back to your tv, Powerscan and it will find your channels. Firmware usually needs to be updated within a 6-8mnth time frame (roughly)
I can't say I have any issues with the service. Hope this helps you out xa0s.

You are cheaper than most thanks for keeping the price to a reasonable amount versus the original RRP.

Good price but I think I'll still be holding off until after the change to nag3. I'm convinced that a wider range of hd channels will be launched alongside nag3 but thats just my opinion.

I'm also very interested in this box, and I'd order now if there wasn't any major risks. I'm taking your advice and waiting. Cheers for the tip.

I know exactly what you mean xa0s, I'm also itching to buy one but unless I was given a cast iron guarantee that the ex7000hd was able to handle nagra 3 then I'm not bothering and the chances of someone saying "Don't worry about it mate, go for it cos it will be fine after the switch" are very very slim.

people who want cast iron guarantees should stay away from all products like these full stop.

How do you figure gadget? I would say as long as the current encryption exists a cast iron guarantee can be given to anyone who wants to buy a starview/eurovox etc as long as the coders keep on coding. And also I never said I WANTED a cast iron guarantee, I simply said unless I was given a one I would stay away from the ex7000.

How could anyone give you one though as nag3 hasnt been implemented let alone hacked in the UK so no box manufacturer could give a cast iron guarantee theres would work. Its a gamble the same as buying any other box no one knows what the future holds nag3 isnt a certainty yet by any means.

I know I couldn't be given a guarantee mate. I was musing theoreticlly, And nagra 3 IS inevitable. It is not speculation, It's just a matter of time and my guess is it will happen when a wider range of hd channels. (not trying to start a war here bud)

its not inevitable its only a possibility at this stage iptv looks like the way they want to move forward in the long run.

Well I just ordered one, thought long and hard about waiting, but that's all I ever seem to do.
Hope the technology lasts long enough to get good value from it.
