whats the diff between usb and parrallel jtag?

AFAIK the only one to work with Dreamboxes and infact many other STB's is parrallel, (DB25 Pin). Never seen a wired up one or any diagrams yet for USB, so can't tell you of any differences.

I'm in the process of creating a JTAG as per the diagram, I'm a lil lost, how will i know what pin of the parrallel socket will corrispond with each of the following :
VCC
TDI
TMS
GND
TCK
TDO

Your help would be appreciated,
