I dont own one myself but have seen a couple working without problems and user feedback seems to be very positive they are after all the official USB tuner from Vu+ so if they did fail then Vu would have a massive headache -
@ digicon are the vu turbo tuners any good I have a sky t330 usb tuner on my solo 2 but causes the box to randomly freeze is the vu turbo reliable and does not cause the box to freeze as I'm in the same situation as p&d new box or vu turbo don't really want to invest in one if it crashes like the t330 tunerLeave a comment:

@P&D
Do not get rid of the Solo2 just invest around ?49 on the VU+ USB Turbo Tuner which basically adds DVB-C/T/T2 to your solo2 as a 3rd tuner.
Cheaper option and way better than getting a new box, Most images now have the drivers for download from the plugin menu

@ digicon just spent ages reading this thread..........
just after some info please
You say way back in a few posts about the GiGaBlue HD QUAD+ PLUS Linux Enigma 2 HD PVR Satellite Receiver 2x DVB-S/S2
My question is.....Is this still the best box out there for the sat/cable side at the moment....**************
You advised me about the Solo 2 a few years back
don't want to get rid of it then buy a snail.....want somthing with the same speed but want to expand with the cable side
just incase
Any advise from any members please Thx philLast edited by satsmo; 11 November, 2015, 00:12. Reason: Removed link to trader's web site, please refer this via pm to digiconLeave a comment:

That i am afraid i could not give you a 100% definite answer on as i have never used the H2 model but all the H1's i have used/seen in action have worked flawlessly apart from 1 where some channels where located on the low frequency end around 130mhz-180mhz and this did have problems for the H1, A booster would probably fix a situation similar to that problemLeave a comment:

So would you recommend the h1 over the h2 for me as I get a weak signal on VM ?From reading around i have read the exact opposite that the H2 tuner is not as sensitive as the H1, the H1 is just DVB-S2 and DVB-C where as the H2 is DVB-S2 and DVB-C/T/T2.
The only receiver which meets the needs of your last question is the Wetek Play, Unfortunately it only has one tuner slot so you pick your tuner say either a twin DVB-S2 or a single DVB-C/T/T2, if you dont mind swapping them aorund then get both tuners or buy 2 receiversLeave a comment:

Hi
I have found a zgemma H2 and which I want to use for cable as well as satelite. I have found a H2 but it has the ONE DVBS2+T2 Tuner built-in, second tuner Samsung 109A tuner. As its not DVB-C does this mean it doesnt work with cable or is T the newer version but still compatible with cable?
For the slightly extra cost I am thinking going for the H2 over H1 as lots of people are saying the tuner is meant to be better.
On a side note is there a box which does DVBS2/DVB-T/C/ IPTV such as Kodi?
Thanks

you would have to flash the patched OpenVix image for the Skins you refer to they are not in the skin section of the OpenATV image but can be added manually via an .ipk installLeave a comment:

dont forget buying cheap usually means cheap parts used and no safety built in,as long as buyer knows the quality or lack of before buying.Leave a comment:
