New 2015 Enigma2 Boxes DVB-C and DVB-S2 Zgemma Star H1 & 2S
menu - setup - service searching - ABM - configure - change to advanced then select add provider prefix ,save.
Then exit once, go and select your 2 providers, save.
Exit once select provider start order usually cable top for HD reasons, save.
Then exit once select start scan,
what you end up with is 2 sets of bouqets with the provider name in front so your clear what your on, then HD at top aswell.

Think the combo box comes tomorrow anyone recommend a good image for sat/cable so the bouquets work fine on both services.

Ive both boxes either coming tomorrow or Friday so should be interesting.
If I went down the Openpli route would I need to use a bootloader or not?
Will probably stick with Vix but just want to know if I have a play.
The main reason Im taking a chance is as much as I love my Dreambox800 I have to swap tuners for sat and cable and fancied a combo box.
Didn't fancy the Amiko as ive read the tuners are weak and ive got a dodgy signal on some of my cable channels.
Also fancy a newer box for iptv and this fits the bill, its cheap
I scanned on the cable and added autobouquets + dvbsnoop and some other bits and bobs and my first impressions are v.g. Fast enough for my needs and good quality picture. I used it on a weak line were a Q5 & Amiko T2/C struggled (picture breakup) but no problems what so ever with the Zgemma.
The only let down would be the lack of wifi and internal HD caddie which are found on the DM800se but , the DM800se is not a sat/cable. A simple pair of homeplugs and a fast 64gb stick would put that right. all in all it's got to be easily the best E2 linux combo on the market for the price, you can get it for about 80'ish direct from China with a few quid for duty on top.
If your thinking of a sat or cable box you won't go far wrong with a Zgemma
Been playing with this all day. It looks like a 70s alarm clock in white and somehow ive lost all digits on the front of the box other than a faint green spot which doesn't feel me with happiness.
Ive gone from Atv image to Vix to Openpli 4 followed by Openpl 3 and now Im back to Vix
Im hoping the loss of anything on the screen is down to me but will find out in the next couple of days.
Pluses are the choice of images but I don't like the way you have to flash with the usb slot in the back. Its right next to the Ethernet port which makes it a tight fit and my worry is I hope this isn't the only way to flash.
Will add more when I get my teeth into it.
Afraid they are andy due to the chipset used flashing images is only available via USB , Could be an idea to get a USB extension lead only a couple of quid at least then your not fiddling around the back.
i always played safe and bought vu original units as quality,if you say these are cheaper builds is the qualty there as seen a few horrendous picture of vu duo clones from china and fire hazzards with crappy builds.
many people have used the online feature, what harm can it do??none if built correctly or ooops sh1te happens?
one reason i question everything before buying one.
Do you have a VU cable receiver? If so, what one is it, and how is it to use?
I have a Q5, but I'm not too keen on it be honest.

I haven't had a problem with the digits on the LED going AWOL so I can't comment but as for the usb ? yeah tab tight I use a small thin usb I ve a 64gb so it can record to, at the time it cost me ?15

it slots in np , I've had vu+ duo a gen box and yeah they are far superior but ........so is the price !!! this is about 80 quid for a combo box I can't think of a box , linux E2 box , combo, running numerous images for ?80.
When all said and done it's for watching TV. If you want the box to do other things then with the money you save go out and buy a IPTV mag254 and subs for both or one of the latest android boxes with a cable tuner in it and with the rest go on the lash

no all boxes are sat but maybe thinking of getting a cable box only and not a combo, only glanced at the new solo for cable and keeping an eye on this thread with interest.
