No idea what the difference between our boxes, but got my box in july 09,

Does it show on your monthly statement that you are paying to rent your box? (only not on mine)

No it doesn't say anything about rental but i know for a fact it's still owned by VM. Therefore it's illegal to sell on ebay etc hence the lack of boxes for sale on there.

        THE TRUTH
        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

many people forget that CS means card sharing.. what are you going to share..??
I wouldn't be sharing my XL package when I don't get anything in return..
The only way I can see cs working on cable if one person subs and the rest chip in with the monthly cost.

CS on sky would be the same as cable though if you had a motorised satellite system then you can share your sky sub and get other foreign packages on different satellites in return for yours.

Theres also less choice of channels compared to Sky which makes cable cs a less attractive alternative.

If Virgin opened up their network like sky and gave TV channel providers an epg number to launch their channels then cable cs would be more worthwhile.

i just cant believe what ive read in this thread, arguing if its illegal or not ???
of course its illegal to share a subscription in your own house.....you paid for 1 subs not 2.....or 22 if you share outside your own network
there is no difference card sharing is illegal.....but....how many of you guys have had a dreambox or dodgy vermin/nthell or ch0rus box in you house, probably all of you and probably everyone that reads this thread
so whats the problem ? whatever way you watch free tv either cable or cardsharing its always gonna be illegal if you dont pay...
get over it and choose to pay up or go and c/s and shut up

you clearly have not read all this thread properly
maybe start from the beginning again
and this time round make sure u understand the difference between breaking laws and and breaking terms of service

i can assure you u wont get ur door busted down and serve a jail sentence for sharing your living room viewing card with ur bedrooms receiver ,however theres a slight chance if found out u might have ur sky sub canceled and that risk is minuscule
