sorry guys but i,m eally struggling here.
Up to now I have downloaded a file named digivox_zv4200_api
and I have winzip installed on my pc.
I have downloaded the keymaster and I have a skull icon on my desktop.
When I try to open the skull icon I get an initialization eror.
I have zipped the keymaster rar file and have a 3 books icon in my documents.
when I open the 3 books I get 2 files
1. an empty folder
2.keymaster.exe application.
I have now downloaded winrar and the downloader10 file has changed from a zip file to a rar (3 books)
When i try to open this file it says unexpected end.
now I keep getting pop up boxes saying intervalhehehe over and over again.
My digivox is plugged into my pc via the null cable but is switched off presently.
I,m stuck from there on.
Please help an idiot. I wanna watch the boxing tonight.

Digivox XL Trouble

I have downloaded the new firmware for my digivox XL followed the instructions on how to update it but cant seem to get it to work it comes up saying fail to update flash. I have connected the box using a null modem cable with USB adaptor & using the correct com port but no joy any ideas? When the Digivox XL installs it says it is a Motorola comp modem does this sound right any help would be appreciated.

Its working.
I,m so happy. think the best thing is to follow "someones" instructions and you cant go wrong.
Download winrar from cnet.com or similar.
download the downloader10 from the first page but when you save it to the desktop add .rar to the end of the file (not sure if this helps but it worked for me) from advice in previous threads.
download the digivox_v2400_app from previous threads and extract to desktop.
when you open the downloader and it says incomplete just ignore it.
when you get the download box and you click the brwose button select the digivox file from the desktop and wait for 100. It sticks at 96 on the digivox display but it does get to 100.
after this and the box says (on) then disconnect, plug into tele and all is good again.

RS232

If you have a Digivox XL like me, just check the back in case, and you will see a port for your RS232 cable. If it is like mine then you will need a DB9 female end to your cable .... believe me, I may sound techy but I am not. I worked this out after looking at several pictures of the cables on that famous auction site last night. It is the female version as it comes with holes, not pins which I need for my Digivox XL as where I put the RS232 cabel in, there are pins already. Its called DB9 as it has 9 pins.

As to the other end of the cable, it depends on what ports you have on your PC, I went for USB.

Hi you seem to be getting confused with the different downloads forget about the keymaster that is for manually entering keys if you want to flash your digivox the 2 files you need are the downloader 10 & the digivox_zv4200_api which you have.I dont think the downloader you have downloaded is working so you need to look for 1 that is if you cant find it pm me & I will show you where to get it.If you get downloader 10 follow the instructions on page 3 of this section & it should work hope that has cleared it up.

hi jin my just wondering i have a digivox in my living room and a dreambox in my bedroom tonight sat 6/12 my sentanta 1 & 2 stations have went off on both boxes all other stations are ok anyone any idea what the problem is. thank you

I,ve managed to pick up a virus from one of these downloads. It might be from winrar when i downloaded it from a free site. I keep getting a message box that pops up every 30 seconds saying "intervalhehehe intervalhehehe intevalhehehe". It really annoying and my avg wont get rid of it.
Other than that the fix worked and i,m back up and running.

Has everyones channel order changed since updating? Before the update my channel order started at 101 bbc1 then all terrestrial channels in order 102,103 etc etc. Since the update I now have all regions bbc1 listed, followed by all regions bbc2, all regions itv etc etc. It takes up pages just to get into the freeview and cable channels.
I was told by the supplier ages ago not to mess with the channel orders as the box doesnt like it.
I can live with it but its a pain.
Also, the update of channel info seems to be very slow or lacking on most channels?
Is this the same for everyone?

The new software for your digivox is on page 1 & you also need downloader 10 from page 2 & also a null modem serial cable then follow the guide on page 3. If you have any problems let us know.
