Help needed confused

been answered before on another forum sounds like a tuner issue more common then people think you may get away with a box to box transfer of channel data but your tuner hasnt enough gain to recognise the network id..
a box to box channel transfer uses the other boxes tuner to get the network id and just sends the channel data across depending on how low the gain is on your tuner it may or may not show a stable picture but it will certainly list the channels.

i am using a splitter, but i have never had this problem before. the splitter uses the coaxail to the tv cable and the bb cable

did you scan from direct feed after you factory reset/defaulted and when the box says already exist did it go back to installation or you stopped it first? could be a tuner issue and when you did box to box got it going again ,how old is the box?

direct feed after factory reset / default... when it says already exist, it does go back to the installation page.

i cant tell you how long ive had the box because i cant remember but, i would say around 3 years, i remember not being able to watch something on sly box office in 2011 so it made me go downstairs and purchase the event properly.

do you have upstairs and downstairs tv and coaxial,if so try there instead,after factory reset is done power off at rear for a min then on and retry.

hey. i do have coaxial downstairs, no bb downstairs

coaxail upstairs and bb box up here too

all you need to scan is the coaxial cable from a live feed,if you have old coaxial cable it could be losing power,even scanning at a m8s house can show if its a tuner issue.

yes send it off to get repaired unless you have a stereo microscope and an infa red rework station then you have no chance doing it your self.

try and get a box to box transfer or update at a pals house, be a lot cheaper than sending it away, for all u know they may do a box to box and u will be stuck next time too
