hi ive connected my box to tv via standard scart lead. is this the best or only way. i have a hd tv is there anyway of improving the quality via alternative leads etc?

better scart cable tv coaxial lead can make a difference.

latest firmware is by a s/w update online via lan cable but you need to have the 24042011 firmware on box first usually done by manual upgrade by null modem cable.

Where do you get that update to I have 03012011. Will this work?

it should have the s/w in that to allow you to update firmware through the lan.

Anyone knows if KV is working at oxford area ?! Been using KV for over a year. Was also fine until it got scrambled earlier and usually gets back if you wait. But I am so impatient that I went to back default factory setting and now it just doesn't find the network at all. I am from VM.
I am just frustrated atm.

Nope, I have checked hundred times if it was my router. but it is not.
Also, when I use the VM box, the freeview channels comes fine. So, I am just wondering if they encrypted further in oxford. Can anyone confirm my speculations?

Hi there, I tried to follow the link to the COM PORT set up tutorial, but it is broken. Anyone have an up to date link for that particular tutorial as I am struggling to even get my null modem cable recognising my A780 despite having the right software, settings and having the power off?

I AM TRYING TO FLASH MY A780 BUT EVERY TIME I PRESS START TO START THE UPDATE I GET NOT REQUESTED, I HAVE TRIED IT WITH BOX ON AND OFF. I HAVE INCREASED THE BIT RATE AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS .PLEASE HELP

are you not using a pc with xp and serial port and the very important null modem cable?
