Mine went through in about 5 minutes at 7.15am so try every now and again and if its not going through at a rapid rate of knots exit it and try again later because as previously mentioned on this thread , or another on the same subject , sitting there for hours with it downloading is useless and it "jams" everything up ...........
      Good luck all

More chance of success to update online from 12am and 8am.
if the process stops at any point whilst updating
abort the upgrade n try update during times ive mentioned.

I understand where you are coming from but for starters someone may have to go out and purchase the null cable first and then theres the hassle of doing it. It may be easy for people with a bit of technical knowledge, but for someone like me doing that "simple task" is frought with danger !!
I fairness a lot of other people on here have found it not to be an easy option .......

In fairness I got the null lead very cheap , free in fact as I work at a cabling company ! . By the time I had got home and was going to do the update from over a week ago the remote version worked so I never did have to go down the null cable route.
Again this time I was considering using the cable but my box was hardly glitching anyway without the 20012015 update , so I just left it until the remote version worked.

It is a rar file so you do need to download winrar (google is your friend) first to allow you to open these files.

And remember you don't have to run the file...just double click on the downloaded file, then copy and paste the file inside called A780_FW_v40208 anywhere on your desktop then use the loader to send it to your receiver via the null modem. Voila.:girlshit:
