loaded the 09092010 firmware 2nite, and the s/w from menu does nothing

bud iam not saying its your prob but have you tried another router or try resetting your own back to default settings

One minute i have channels the next i dont. I dont understand why i have different channels every bloody day. It cant be a server issue as if the server is providing the channels then i wudnt loose channels all the time. I will admit that it is better than nothing, i am dissapointed in the box though.

Things will only get worse as more people buy these boxes and overburden a server that cannot cope now. The server is in this to make money and since there is no subscription then revenue can only come from the sale of the boxes. They are a closed source box so you are totally dependant on them. Do not be surprised if at some stage they pull the plug.

rescan the box

1 factory reset
2 software update
3 rescan box with correct signal also check cable is connected
4 reboot router
5 connect ethernet cable to laptop to check internet connection is working
6 reconect ethernet back to box
7 check now ???????????
8 if not box has a fault

For me (and this is only my Personal opinion and my personal experience why my KV),it appears to be a problem with whatever TP you set, I have for instance have 2 Knowsley's and 2 Preston's and depending upon which TP I select depends on which channels I get. FOr instance, if I'm Knowsley 1, I don't get Dave channels, If I'm on Preston 2 I don't get Living channels, I suppose it's a case of finding the best TP and sticking with it until all the bugs are sourced out.

I would agree with that, I am using Wolverhampton 1.
at the moment with very few issues,
but when I first had the box I used Wolverhampton 2.
That gave me a lot of glitching and missing channels.
dont know what the difference is but it works for me.

im in edinburgh telepest area, had the box a week some channels missing, but they come and go.
done all the usual things, still the same.
im happy if box gives me most channels, kv team have always given good back up with their boxes.
what i have will soon cover the cost of my box , its better than freeview.
updates from the kv team would be usefull .

And I agree with Smirnoff_rules, what you have to realise is, before you found out about " The KV BOX" when Nag3 hit you had nothing and it was back to square 1, remember nothing is perfect, but I am sure glad of the channels I got, I too have missing channels still, but I think Hey Ho at least I have most and thats a bonus.

I've had the box two days now and I'm pleased I bought it.

I bought this box mainly to watch the footy and I watched the Chelsea/Arsenal game yesterday and I'm currently watching Spurs on Sly sports 2

For as long as the KV team keep the premium channels free (sports) then I'm a happy bunny. If I lose another channel here and there then I'm not that bothered.

It's the next best thing to free cable, and I'm sure the KV team are doing their best in sorting out the other channels.

Please be patient or chose the alternative!
