1, wire it up , no splitters (coax cable and lan)
2, put on software
3, factory reset
4, scan for channels in your area
5, select 511 press 1819

It's hard work to get that into peoples heads mate. By the sounds of it anyway!

I was pointing a new member in the correct direction, we were all new at one stage.

I do however understand why long standing members get a wee bit annoyed at duplicate posts contained within a thread full of answers.

hey guys just a wee update i have got the new look menu up and running whooo ... and when i put in the code it says enabled whoooo hoooo. but still no picture haha and it still says at the bottom of the screen not connected ... but im goin in the right direction thanks for your help guys still not sure about the no splitter thing wud love a layout or idiots guide cheers again guys

Leave it a few minutes...........I presume you followed the readme in downloads and factory reset also?

If it does not come on within five to ten minutes turn off the box from the mains and turn it back on after a minute.

tech stuff comes naturally to some people so i for 1 am really thankfull for the help any 1 hear gives me and wudnt hesitate to help some others .. at the mo my strenghts only lie in jiu jitsu . bjj and mma so thanks again for any help mates

i didnt read the read me a pal gave me the stick sory but i factory reset. scaned the menu changed all the channels are on just not the scrambles ones. its the not connected bit thats bothering me .... i mean it must be connected to pull in the channels .. il mabe give old bill gates a cll on the bat line

So I keep the ustream thing as nothing and just do 1819? When I do 1819, do I have to press ok or just let it clear away and which channel do I do 1819 on? Also how long do I have to wait as after a while when I wait it just opens up the menu? Also, which option do I choose for the update? Do I choose S/W UPDATE or BOOTLOADER UPDATE? Thanks

If you still have the Ustream option available, then you have not flashed the new firmware as there is no Ustream option in the new GUI.

press 1819 on a channel and it should enable.

for me i ask because im not sure what im doin basicly and am on looking for help ... the read me file i seen there only says load up , factory reset, search and 1819, and i have did that and im afraid ive came up short again thanks for the 2 guys that tryed to talk me thru it .. top guys and im sure plenty of others think it

tryed the code again bro but no joy ... any thoughts on the no connected status at the botton of the screen ??? does that sound wrong to u ???
