i believe formatting a usb pen is best to do on the computer rather than the box...

what is the best format? FAT or FAT32? Ive only ever haeard of FAT32 but im given 2 options when trying to format my usb stick

doesnt matter im just going to stick with fat32

answer to your problem

flick it off at the back and back on, this is a quick fix and usually lasts quite a while for me.

the sound should return until you turn it off again it may go again but just do it again off/on from the back of the unit

my dads SV4 running on v1.10 has just lost all the sports channels, do you think V1.12 would bring them back, thanks in advance.

I have the same box, the sports and movies seem the first channels to black out, however i find resetting the box to factory default and rescanning for channels with the same software on still picks them up again working for a few weeks. hope this helps

Hi Guys... I'm new here, nice to meet you all

My SV 4 box has gone down...I'm running V1.07 since I bought it and just need to re-scan every now and then. Today however I'm only getting the basic terestrial channels despite re-scanning. The key code is set 'on' so do I need to update the firmware to something else (thought 1.07 was the latest?). I'm in NW london perhaps its moved to Nagra? Also the only message I get is 'Data being updated' on a black screen.

Any help is genuinely appreciated...thank you

Hi i'm having the same problem, i have tried the factory reset method and it usually works, but today i'm only getting a black screen i do belive i have version 1.07 installed, can it be something else, any help appreciated. Thanks

from sly spts. try menu, 1570, make sure keycode is on. press default key, ok, then exit to sly spts. wait to update. hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses guys but it's still coming up blank screen - and no message saying data being updated now either...? Any other suggestions please?

OK just tried again with sky sports 2 - the updating screen showed up and woohoo I now have sky sports 2! It doesn't work for any other channel though

Phew 7 days and i tried everything to get the channels back, evantually used this and all the ch's are back, thanks and thanks again espicially to the dude who cared to share

just dl this and flashed my scrambled box super and still the same 6 or 7 crap channels are all im left with ?!!! all the rest are constantly updating , please can anyone help , is there any way of unscrambling this new block of theirs ?? in ireland !!

no signal on starview 1 box

hi all,
I have an old starview 1 box. ?I have just given to a friend in another area. He has a ntl line at home but when i connect the box it say no signal and there is not one bar in the signal bar. The Emu is turned on but I cannot rectify the problem. I was wondering do the area codes need changing on the box if so how do i get hold of these?
