Im very new to this so im appologising in advance if i sound like a tulip. basically Ive got a Starview "The Box" and a Chorus Ariel which we used to use to receive chorus. My question is can I get all the channels on "The Box" without going back to chorus and paying for a basic package or do I have to have a basic package to get the signal and then the box gives me the scrambled ones? Thanks in advance,

This and other boxes where never that good at handling subtitles, but they have improved somewhat.

Not all channels carry subs though.

Chor&s MMDS which you have is a wireless service and as such you do not need to subscribe, (although I would always advise you do so), once you have the correct equipment in place.

You can still get all channels as they are still simulcrypt on Nagra 1,2 and 3 on Chor&s MMDS, however they are changing over to Nagra 3 and your box will cease to work.

This is a feedback thread for the Starview 4 firmware, best to start a new thread with your query.

not reading this right the box is a dvb/c unit it will not work with an aerial on roof.box t is a dvb/t box you use with aerial on roof,as satsmo says dont know how long you have left before the move to n3,if you are in the sticks maybe longer.

As of the 17/08/'09 looks like N*L areas of Ireland have started to shift over to Nagra 3 and this firmware does not clear N3 channels.

I have tried using the v1.12 firmware and all channels are there but i have no sound. My previous firmware was 1.10 and i was having increasing problems with the box turning off.

Can anyone help?

I have the starview 4 and up untill last week i had every channel, sports and films have gone now and was wondering if there is a new download, living in ireland by way dublin.. thanks for anybody that can help..

We live in Northampton and channels esp sports are intermittent. might try v1.12 and see how that goes. you could try that.

my dads SV4 running on v1.10 has just lost all the sports channels, do you think V1.12 would bring them back, thanks in advance.
