One Box is ok
The "nd box says not registered and i have a number appear
any ideas ??

Would look to be a problem regarding IP addresses, some being on
STVU's list of valid boxes & others not on list. Not sure whether
omitted IP addresses depends on supplier you bought from or time
of year box was purchased. Either way it should be possible for users to e-mail their IP address to have it validated

How can it be IP address, i have 1 working and 1 not -------same IP

Its the box's MAC address thats the problem its not registering on servers database

Correct it has nothing whatsoever to do with your IP.

Sorry, Willo, thank you for correcting me. I meant mac-address
As you say boxes can share IP-address but each box has it's own mac-address. Let's hope for the long suffering STVU users
they sort it out promptly. People were warned that C/S on cable
would be no bed of roses but when it's because of incompetent
back-up service peoples endurance is being pushed beyond
reasonable limits

As usual this has turned a little confusing.My box was working fine in Glasgow RUNNING SHOW MUST GO ON 2.12. Went off this morning so straight on to DK where i was delighted to see the kiddy had supplied smgo 2.21. However it doesnt seem to have made a difference, still getting not connected. Has anyone whos box was working with 2.12 upgraded to 2.12 and its working?

I purchased a USED SV6 for a tenner. user couldnt connect box, kept saying Not Connected.

anyways, I've loaded the NEW firmware "smgo221.ups" and its saying on a blue box on screen

"Logon Message"

"NOT Registered Box"

"Box No: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

I've tried all usual stuff like factory reset, set ip manually, rebooted both router and sv6 for over 5 mins but no joy.

i can get bbc/itv channels, but no encrypted channels

Posted recently that I wouldn't sleep under same roof as STAVU
box. Now I would not be happy to sleep in the same parish.
These boxes are more volatile than CHERNOBYL reactor, which
was all down to human error & NEGLECT
