        VM have shuffled channels in some areas, so a re-scan may be required. This could affect the KV as well as SV box.

          I am getting all sorts of conflicting messages about SV7 and whether or not the channels are working, can anybody tell me what the latest firmware version is and where I can download it from. Thanks.

                  My SV box is fine with (nearly) all channels (no MUTV ). However, it says it will expire on 15/10/2011. I believe you can extend the life of the box by buying "support" at ?25 for 6 months or ?45 for 1 year, which is cheaper than buying a new box. I paid ?100 for mine last November and was thinking I would have to do the same, but it looks like the business model has changed.

                  Have a look here - http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...75/index6.html

                  that should give you more info.

                  I have followed the instructions but so far have not heard back from the support site. I'll update if / when I do

                      To all Starview users.............Whichever box it is, whatever you have been told, whatever blind faith you may have FORGET IT!!!!
                      ~~~~ the box in the cut, do a little research, Google, DK etc and find 'another' route.
                      Starview is crap, shite, Bollox, useless, a cheat, a rip off, they are a bunch of liers, your box will NEVER work properly. Anyone not yet got the message should never be allowed outside on their own.
                        If you do a little research you will see it's working quite well, much better than the other Plug&Play Cable option.
                        Yes, Satellite is better, has more channels and more servers available but they are more expensive and not everyone can have a dish.
                          huh where pray tell can you see it working well ?? Starview certainly not here ..... more expensive ! payservers yes are expensive but there are small servers that do not charge only look for a small donation towards the bill , Plug&Play satellite is very good and reliable protech nanoxxx are up and running for years , as i've always said cable is not the way to go at the moment things may change in the future keep researching
