starview 5 usb problem

hi can anyone out there help me i've just purchased the starview 5 box and have read most of peoples problems about it but i cant find my problem which is when i put my usb in and select usb it say reconnect usb i've formated the usb to fat and also tried fat32 nothing happening can anybody help pppllleeeaaassseee???

Have you read the tut m8 ?

wher can i find the tut? i downloaded some tut but set me to the net to find appropriate program will it work on normal microsoft word?

hi everyone - Ive had my SV5 up and running for about 2 months but the epg has disapeared over the last few days. All the channels are still working though. Any ideas on how to get epg back again?

u could try pressing the button marked EPG

No you dont make sure its formatted to fat 32 as per the tut.And only put it in or remove it when the box is off.

I have the same problem, EPG has gone completely blank but can still watch all channels. Tried a rescan and reset but no joy.

Just bought one for the parents. Hope its not going to be an endless trip back and forth to fix it for the, :-)

still cant put new firmware on my starview 5 usb memory stick aint being reconised is there any other way of putting the firmware on i think the usb port must be broke...........

wot size is the stick and did u format it , also try the file from my link on my sign instead its not zipped or rared

Its a 2 gb kingston even tried a 1 gb niether are being reconised formated to fat32 and put the bin file on but nothing just keeps saying please reconnect usb when i select it...
