Starview 5 - firmware

Hi, a little while since i been on these Forums, is the TheBoxSuperUSB2_v2.03.20090923.bin still the lastest firmware for the SV5?
I do have every possible channel but I thought there might be a problem with this firmware because i seem to have several versions of each channel stored, only one or two versions of each channel work, many dont have complete programme listings on the EPG and some versions dont work altogether therefore if i decide to delete the several stored versions and only leave 1 copy of each channel i'm in danager of leaving one of the versions that doesn't work. Is there anyway around this so that one the version of each channel appears in the EPG? Does anyone else have this problem? Many Thanks in advance for your help!

does anyone have any newer firmware and details how to do it cos i am so dumb with this sort of thing, that i cannot get my box super usb II to work, is that what needs to be done when you get the message on the screen, no signal, but there is one there.

Have you tried reading the Tut in the downloads?

I had the same problem. I deleted all the channels,let it save and then did a new automatic scan. Everything is working fine now. Even have an interesting message on ch 510.

Virgin Media has started to send out new smartcards to its TV customers, currently we're sending them to customers in Watford, Seven Kings, Kirklees, Wessex-Poole and Ashford. The new smartcard is easy to swap with the old - find out how at Switching your Smart Card.

The new smartcard is important. It works differently to the old card, and uses newer technology which will form part of a range of exciting new digital TV services from 2010 and onwards, including more HD channels, new TV on demand features and of course we’re also working on integrating TiVo into our TV service too!

Customers in the Watford, Seven Kings, Kirklees, Wessex-Poole and Ashford should have already received their new cards (or will be recieving them soon) and it’s important your old card is swapped out as soon as possible. Over the next few days, in the regions listed, we’ll be turning off some of the older TV signals on our network so if you haven’t swapped the card yet, please do so as soon as you can to ensure an uninterrupted service.

If you are in the Watford, Seven Kings, Kirklees, Wessex-Poole or Ashford areas and think you need a new smartcard please head to Switching your Smart Card and check our frequently asked questions (FAQ).

If you’re not in one of the regions listed, don’t panic, everyone will be getting a new smartcard. We’ll be going around the country region by region as we upgrade our TV service, and we’ll be in touch by post when it’s your turn. In the meantime, don’t worry there won’t be any changes to your TV service until that time.

Hello - i have just received my sv5 box..and installed v2.03...and followed the sv5 tut...it has found 60+ channels...unfortunately....the good channels have the $ sign next to them....is there a newer firmware d/l ?......middlesbrough uk

Latest fix for SV5 is v2.05
Make sure KEYCODE ON after scan

I would not recomend 2.05 stick with 2.03 for now goto a channel with the $ sign and wait for the update with version 2.03 it should take 30sec or less.
Please also note i have removed the uploaded 2.05 because of reported issues with it

hello again...all seems to be good....skysports1 not showing..not in sports menu....2,3,4,etc all ok.. any suggestions?
