update?
Hi all,
Noticed a few problems after 12am this morning. Cant view channels any more. Box reports 'no signal'. Have done rescan but finds nothing.
Bought the box yesterday afternoon, all set up and worked spot on after updating to latest Grooverider firmware.
Is it just coicidence that i've lost everything on 1st March or does firmware need updating at the start of the month? I know some details about these units but i'm by no means a flyer with how often they need flashing/updating etc.
If anybody could let me know where I stand that'd be great.
Cheers

Personally, i think this box is terrible regarding the sat side of it. There is somekind of bug in the either the software or the hardware. Ive tried every single fw that has come ou for this box and none have fixed the problems. I loose connection to my server after about an hour or so, i then have to reeboot the box. glitching and freezing is common on this box, ive tried about 6 or 7 different trial servers, get the same problem. I thought it might be heat related, so i removed the top cover of the box to allow air to circulate, still get the same problems. I then bought a large laptop cooler fan , placed it underneath the box, still the same. the only thing i can say good about this box is it is small, not very expensive, although ?200 is still a lot...let us know how you get on mate.
"For the satellite side to go on network you need to go to Accessory and press 8989 on your remote, this will open up the hidden menu.. then go to the right side on the menu to network.
Press OK on network then go to Type then you will see 4 more sections in the menu, go to Server setup and press OK You will see 10 different Servers
in there,
Go to off 1 and press ok, in the menu it will say off if you highlight OFF and go to the right on the remote you can pick CCCAM or NEWCAMD in the menu.
This is where you can setup your server needs here.
If you have a Config file (CCCAM or NEWCAMD) made up , put it on a Memory Stick then go to USB in Accssory and press OK.
At the bottom it will say Config highlighted by a Red button, if you press the Red button on the Remote it will give you 3 chorses,
pick Auto Detect then it will start to read your memory stick if you got your Config file on your stick it will then load your config file in here.
Now go back to Network and press OK then Server Setup you will then see all you Config details have now been loaded in your"Last edited by pongo snodgrass; 8 March, 2010, 10:41.Comment
