Hi m8, they both have the serial port. Go by the ethernet(LAN) socket.
If your box has the ethernet lan socket then its the LAN verson and you will need to select the LAN firmware.SLOWLY, OUR FREEDOM IS BEING ERASED.
SOON, WE WILL JUST BE A NUMBER.
IF WE DON'T FOLLOW, WE WILL BE ERASED.Comment

i`ve just read all the posts posted here in this discussion.... im kind put off now from buying one of these boxes now! everyone seems to be having difficulties esp with the newer boxes. I have just recently bought a Samsung 1080p Hd LCD tv and want to get the most out of the tv and so i was thinkin of buying the starview HD combo? however everyone seems to find it problematic. would i be safer to just buy one of the older boxes they seem to be working and encounter less problems. I have sat nt* installed in my house and live in Eastern ireland.
any thoughts?

im living in Co.kildare... near enough Kilcullen. i just dont want to spend bucks on a high class HD box and then find out it does work for whatever reason....

Sup Guys, just got the starview hd combo non lan, uploaded the initial software then groove rider (latest version). I am a bot confused as to what to do after...do i :
A:> SWITCH it on and off
B:> do a factory reset, then
c:> do autoscan , d:> 8989 e:> then what ??...please help dudes...,. cheersComment
