Starview HD Combo LAN & NON LAN STBs

Hi Satsmo. I have just bought a Starview Combo HD + with LAN I am new to the box scene and was told to connect via the ethernet since the cable only does not work in my area. I was told I need to do something to get the box to recognise the modem. Do you have idiot proof instructions please on setting up the box to open it up. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks and waiting in anticipation.

Starview HD Combo - Satellite settings requested

Hi All
I have my Combo up and running on the cable side with the majority of channels only SS1 and SS3 and a few other remain are scrambled

I am trying to set up the satellite side but don't have a clue as to which satellite to pick or settings to select on the menu to start a satellite search. I have tried the ASTRA satellites (3 different ones on the starview menu) and I have not altered any of the other settings but nothing comes up. I have a sky dish so any channels I can pick up via this will be good (will be happy with FTA) and any HD channels will be a bonus

Any help welcomed

hi can anyone help .. i have a hd combo with lan but im not getting any channels .. the following is what is installed in the combo : model name carling+ / software version verf5.11,ldr:ver00.21 / hardware ver 01.20 .. when i scan it doesnt pick anything up at all

did u default your box after u put image on sometimes it dont pick any up to u do it
