the network is via the RS-232 Converter. It comes with the box. The box works are same as the starview 6 as I have got a Starview 7 Box. Setup is the same as starview 6 but you need the Carling Firmware for the Starview 7 box. Using the Starview 6 firmware on the starview 7 box will brick the box be warned

Just bought a Starview 7 tonight, didn.t know that there was no LAN port on it! Does it come with the required cable?

Starview 7 now released, the box has no lan port but is connected via a dongle
installing sw is same as sv6, there is not much difference between the two models just the network port has been made external ..

The unit will work on sv6 or 7 software so you wont blow it up by loading wrong files and support will continue for all models 6, 7, and combo units.. (words from wizzard himself)

                      Firmware here

I would'nt beleave anything Wizard tells you m8.
Ask Wizard about the support they provided for the Combo non Lan boxes!

Peeps are still waiting on the network Lan dongles for them receivers.

I know someone who's got SV7 and gets all channels on vm. The question is how has SV7 fixed the n3 problem. Is it a hardware or software fix?

Also is SV7 a temporary fix or will last for sometime?
