How to Manually update keys on Starview

I have downloaded the N*l keys but the last key states it's 'A' but the key requires two figures otherwise you cannot save it, does anyone know what to do in this case.

i need help myself....even though there is a fix out i like experimenting..when i try and mnually update the keys i have to change the prov to Televvest and enter the keyz but even after i have stored it when i come back the prov has changed back to NT-el.. any help??
p/s the receiver aint mine so im just experimenting whilst i have it....

Starview Pvr not usb

My box is one of the earlier PVR and I had trouble inputting the keys as I could not change the letters. Finally solved it.
press menu
scroll to system setup press ok
parental control press ok
info or i button and 2007
select nagravision press ok
select provider
key 00 or left and right arrow to change
number pad 1 to 0
Letters key 2 press until letter appears a,b,c
Letter key 3 press until letter d,e,f
save each key by pressing ok

Excellent!!! I came, I read and I bloody conquered.
It is hard as a newbie. I too am one, but the info is here.
I repeated myself over and over again, inputting and had no joy, but 'The Cobras' message sorted it on page 23 of this thread... put the auto update back on after inputting keys and it works for me and my pvr box.
Thank you guys for an excellent site and all your hard work, I can understand why you get peed off when people don't search and read.

have a "starview 2" box and in cw area. in the nagra the bottom line of codes have all changed to FF FF FF FF FF FF. Think i have done this by accident, trouble is i don't know what they were before to change them back, could anybody help please.

enter the Cas menu ... and click on Set default key

Then exit 3 times

and wait for the code to update

but nothing is coming up

You have updated the firmware to a non-FTA one?

If you press menu > system info you will probably find you are running firmware 1.07! you will need f/w 1.12 then do a setup as usual, only use this firmware on genuine sv's it has been known to kill clones
there is a guide on how to tell the difference in the d/l section

movie and asian channels are gone from my " the box super" and S F message on my channels says that you have lost some free channels call us to get these channels. anyone having same problem
