I've missed most of this, for which I'm glad.

Amy Winehouse means nothing to me, neither does a dead serviceman I never knew. But the serviceman dedicated his life to helping those in need & serving his country, no matter what the risks.

Everyone has choices to make in their lives, as I see it Amy is the poster child for everything that's wrong in todays youth culture. The attitude of 'I can do anything I want & nobody can tell me otherwise'
This used to be an uplifting statement used to help those from less fortunate backgrounds excel in education & business. The attitude of 'nothing will stop me reaching my goals'.
Now it's just a pigheaded response from those that have no drive to succeed in life yet seem to know their legal rights.

We all have brains & access to education. We all know drugs are bad (today this includes alcohol & tobacco). The choices we make shape our future. She had a choice... take drugs or don't take drugs. No matter how it started she had every opportunity to confront her personal demons & come out clean.

I have strong painkillers on prescription, these are know to be addictive. According to the instructions I should take 2 tablets 4 times a day, but I don't. Knowing the risks involved I only take one when needed, when the pain is so bad I can't function correctly. This is my educated decision not to risk being pulled into drug dependency. Neither do I feel the need to try risky recreational drugs.

Where I took the path of wisdom, she took the path of excess. She also refused to do anything to help her situation, turning her families desperate plea's to seek help away.

This was only going to end one way, all it took was time. She's not the first music star to go this way, she won't be the last. There have been far bigger names who have made the same mistake...yet the lessons of history seem to be falling on deaf ears, or stupidity.

There's no sympathy in me for her & her family should of prepared themselves for this some time ago, even if they clung to hope. Now there's no hope.

Amy Winehouse had a great distinctive voice but, got involved with the wrong people and surrounded with some dodgy hanger-ons that were bleeding her dry too. It was only going to be a matter of time but, still tragic for her family.

        RIP Amy Winehouse

Someone else either any member of the public or the military smuggling drugs is not related to amy winehouse.

So where as it been confirmed it was drugs? I see the daily mail are saying it was ecstacy and not heroin. If thats the case I wonder if people will agree that Leah Betts deserved to die too.
heroin itself doed not cause murder , theft , prostitution, fund terrorism etc etcc THE WAR ON DRUGS causes this.

hardly a comparison between winehouse and betts is there? winehouse has a documented history of drug taking, may as well compare tony martin to the yorkshire ripper

I am not rubbishing what you are saying i am simply stating that smuggling drugs be it soldiers or anyone else has nothing to do with Amy Winehouse.

Her drug abuse, her life and the media attention she has received is to do with her or her death.

You are allowed your opinion i totally agree that everyone is entitled to there own.
