Many people like e-c , but newest laboratory tests shows that better for health are cigarettes than ec.
Better to health is throw them out (cigarettes and Ec)

There's nothing there to suggest normal cigarettes are better, only that e cigs and liquids haven't been properly tested

Hi people of digital-kaos :-). Wondering if any of you successful e-cig users and smoking quitters can give me a bit of advice.

Im very close to purchasing my first e-cig and making my first step to giving up (smoker for 10+ yrs). Now I'm a little stuck on what e-liquid (the stuff that you fill the cig with I believe) strength to go for. I am a smoker of around 10-12 cigarettes a day. Now what strength do I go for?! see options here as they have everything from 0mg to 36mg.. Where do I fit?

Any advice would be excellent. I am real determined this time.

                  Mel.

It's all personal preference really, I use 18mg strength, and used to smoke roll up's and I find it strong enough.
my advice would be to contact Paula at vapourworld, she will do you 5 sample bottles for about ?11, that way you can try different strengths and flavours, without wasting to much money, you'll also find vapourworld are one of the best sites for value for money.

Can you easily control how much nicotine you're getting with a typically ecig?

Yes, you choose a nicotine strength of eliquid that satisfies your cravings, you can buy it in anything from zero to 36mg per ml or even higher, 15 to 24 suits most, you can cut down if you want but nicotine is not any more harmful than caffeine, it also protects users from Alzheimer's

My other half who was using an Ecig, started smoking again, so in an attempt to stop she got a prescription from the docs for the Nicorette QuickMist mouthspray

firstly the cost is extortionate, even on prescription she had to pay for two items even though it was a twin pack - ?15, over the counter cost was almost ?30, you get 150 sprays in each one,

out of curiosity I had to try it, and wow, it blows your head off, I would rather eat raw chillies, the burning sensation would be less than this spray, it tastes vile, then I got severe hiccups followed by the feeling I was going to throw up, it's disgusting, and I wouldn't try it again,

it's hard for me to say whether it works or not, time will tell, the sooner Tabex goes on open sale in this country (if it ever does) the better, to stop companies like Nicorette ripping people off.

but it goes to show the Ecig is one of the cheapest, pleasant, and most effective ways to stop smoking, and it's time the government looked at allowing these to be prescribed by GP's along with all the other NRT's available.
