That's an old chestnut. At the time of the Lateran treaty(1929), the age of consent in Italy was 12, so it became the age of consent in Vatican City also.

Since the population is only about 800 odd, and none of them have ever been children, it was never relevant.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

Like I said at the end of my post....I wasn't sure if you still can.

As far as I'm aware, the age of consent in Spain is still 12.

I don't like Catholisism but I have nothing against Catholics.
I don't like immigration policy but I have nothing against imigrants.
A few others I could add.
I don't like John Terry but I don't think what he said to Ferdinand was racist. It was a comment directed at the individual and the words he used were not directed at the whole race nor meant as a racial insult.
When I was young the shop along the road was owned (and still is) by a Pakistani family. My mum/dad used to say " Go along to the P***s and get whatever. They weren't being racists, they were merely using an abreviation. Of course I wouldn't use it now because it is now considered to be Racist, but it was not always so.
A racist comment is one which is made against a race. IE ALL ----- are bastards.
If my m8/enemy calls me a Fat bastoord. It's not because he hates all fat people. He is using a descriptive word to direct his insult. His child is fat and his wife is fat.
