Tottenham in flames as riot follows protest

Two police cars, a bus and several shops were attacked and set ablaze in north London on Saturday night as violence and looting erupted following a protest demanding "justice" over a fatal police shooting.

Scale of rioting much smaller than in 1985, but for two to three hours it looked like the police might lose control.






It all happened 48 hours after the police had shot dead a man on the streets in an apparent exchange of fire.
Since when you have heared a police officer had shot a man not to kill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is ridiculous what has gone on. The guy shouldn't even have a gun - never mind shooting it at the Police.

The gang culture in London has got to change. I think the police and authorities should come down harder on them. All of the people last night who are smashing windows and throwing things, the police and army should march in - in great numbers - and take every single one of the and put them in a cell.

Absolutely a disgrace - people are living in them flats above the shops and were most probably scared half to death.
