if you carry a gun on the streets of the UK you should expect the consequences, if that means its your life then thats the chances you take. Why carry one unless you intend to intimidate or cause harm or death with it.

If you carry a gun here in Spain you get 15 years, no one but no one is allowed to have a hand gun, so no one carries one because if you do get nicked with one you WILL DO the 15 years, no getting out early for good behaviour

Yeah it's the way it's heading in London IMHO. I live in Outer suburbs, and last night brick thrown through Nationwide, Jeweller next door wrecked and carpet shop wrecked a mile away. Not reported as nothing too serious for Sky, BBC etc. But for owners just as bad. Anyway coffee shop next door to Nationwide had about 15 heavies there waiting for the scum to come off the tube to the area again. All I would say is the scum got past these guys, and the mob at the pub waiting at the top of the High Street then they would have earned their stripes to smash the windows of the local Jag/Range Rover showroom. Although all the cars were not on site. Somehow I kinda think they would have not made it past the 1st hurdle and would have been happy making it back onto the underground from where they crawled out of their holes

whether the reason is right or wrong is another matter
this behaviour normally happens when people are disenfranchised or subjected to some kind of treatment from the goverment or authoritys etc
if you look at poor countrys this happens all the time and it only takes one incident to spark it all off,which surely shows anybody watching ,that there are underlying problems in the said country or area etc
trouble is once the media latch onto it they give it there spin and all of a sudden its "a very small minority of ferrel youths committing these horrendous acts of mindless thuggery" or something along those lines,which funny enough is exactly what they are saying now

if this goverment arent careful you and i will be seeing a lot more of this up and down the country,,at a time when we are being squeezed out of every last penny we work hard to earn,,we think were feeling the pinch what about people who live below the poverty line
theres only so much any human can take before they start to take the law into there own hands

The only reason for this bout of rioting is to get what they can via looting!!! They are causing so much damage that we, the general public will end up paying for by higher rates at the tills. Sure insurance will payout, but premiums of the outlets will go up - and will pay - US!

It is not for any political or social reason, just that they are plain scumbags and out for taking stuff for free!!!!

Truly let me try and help you.

1. Guy gets shot
2. Angry mob descend on cop shop demanding reasons.
3. Police not responsive nor should they be.
4. Scum element start smashing up the place.
5. Now here's the bit you gotta pay attention to. Tottenham Police Station is about 3/4 miles away from Tottenham Hale Shopping Centre. It's here where the first thieving started WHILST THE POLICE WERE DEALING WITH THE FIRST INCIDENT AND AFTERMATH THAT OCCURRED AT THE POLICE STATION AREA.

6. Next day guess what everyone realises that if you wanna rob a store you can get away with it.
7. Kids mentality is just that.
8. Bang on as much as you want about an underlying problem with society in Britain in 2011, but it seems order is being restored in London with the general public out on the street protecting their communities and prepared to give these scum bags the kick up the ar*e they deserve.


EDIT: If people have got ~~~~ all and had enough, how about get cleaned up, and get a job, you know sweep the streets rather than rob

Yes me too, and I'm pis*ed that the banks are back to making profits etc, and that my son is gonna spend his working life paying for this mess and that we need to spend money on OAP's that fought for this country not that long ago, and why are we lobbing missiles into Libya whilst we really don't give a f**K (otherwise we would lob them at Syria too), and why are we dumping ground for anyone in E.Europe, and selling nannas in kgs rather than lbs.
