whether the reason is right or wrong is another matter
this behaviour normally happens when people are disenfranchised or subjected to some kind of treatment from the goverment or authoritys etc
if you look at poor countrys this happens all the time and it only takes one incident to spark it all off,which surely shows anybody watching ,that there are underlying problems in the said country or area etc
trouble is once the media latch onto it they give it there spin and all of a sudden its "a very small minority of ferrel youths committing these horrendous acts of mindless thuggery" or something along those lines,which funny enough is exactly what they are saying now

if this goverment arent careful you and i will be seeing a lot more of this up and down the country,,at a time when we are being squeezed out of every last penny we work hard to earn,,we think were feeling the pinch what about people who live below the poverty line

when i were a lad we had riots in an area close to me for about 4 days i went along for the crack that was all down to some druggy getting busted and the police were a bit nasty boo hoo and he had a gun in his car too
as news spread the were people travelling down to the area some from over 100 mile away
just for an excuse to throw bricks and petrol bombs at police and burn cars out they new nothing about what happened they just seen it as a bit of fun
now i am a bit older and wiser i can see the bigger picture it is wrong i was a dik for joining in i was just a bored 16 year old in the wrong crowd there is no excuse for doing what was done
even if the bloke didnt shoot at the cop so ~~~~ he shouldnt have been carrying a gun anyway why did he have it? has he used it before??
if you carry a gun around town IMO you deserve to be shot the police have a job to do why wait till you get killed to fire the first shot??Comment

They are rioting for the sake of rioting , how does burning out shops after looting them prove a point? If they hava a problem with the police / authorities then why arent they targeting those buildings?
If they were hard working people having every penny squeezed out of them they wouldnt be on the streets of london causing havoc all day and night they would be at work.
I've been to a few RIOTS over the years , reclaim the streets etc that went a bit mental and really enjoyed it, throwing bricks at the police etc was great fun.Never looted shops etc though.
I noticed at the student RIOTS they never looted shops etc did they?
So please do explian how robbing shops and burning out hard working shopkeepers helps their cause?Comment

Lets not be too unfair on the poor looters. The nasty people in charge have had the audacity to kill one of their friendly gang members. Now other gang members may be too frightened to go out of their houses with their drugs and the poor junkies will have to travel that little bit further.
I'm sure they're just miss understood individuals who are bored as the Government has cut back on all the Community Centres where they could sit around all day playing pool etc rather than getting off their arses and doing something positive with their lives or for their Community. You only have to look at the riots breaking out in all the towns throughout the Scottish Highlands etc due to kids being bored and cutbacks to their benefits. Can't the Government see this? Next thing you know the nasty Government might even think about trying to implement ways to stop people from producing kids unless the parents accept the responsibility for their upkeep and actions. Surely thats what the Tax Payer is for. Anyway I'm off to smash up a car as a Policeman told me off for swearing at him.

How does going to a RECLAIM THE STREETS PROTEST that went a bit mad put me in the same league as a load of looters?
I went to a protest and was held for hours with thousands of other people by police using their KETTLING methods so people started bricking them.
These people are blatently robbing shops are they not? What point exactly are thay making by doing this?
