Yes these may be poorer kids with no future but that is nobodys fault but there own or there parents people need too stop blaming other people for there actions and i am pretty sure that 99% of these deadbeats in the street no ~~~ all about politics

you need to take responsibility for yourself one of the main reasons that areas are poor is that they all rely on benefits to live instead of working or they sell drugs because it beats working which is perobably why duggan went round with a gun

the reason we have so many immigrants in london and the UK is mainly because the youth dont want to do any work in these poor areas which is why they are out robbing now its like xmas

the youth mr cable free junkie have nobody to blame but themselves it is not societies fault they are like it it is the fault of themselves and its about time they took responsibility

there is no excuse in the world for not helping yourself if anything the way they are is because they country is too ~~~~in soft

before benefits and NHS ect you had to go to work just to eat and live you got no handouts it was survival these young kids have nothing to moan about

I am sorry, but youths wearing ?100 trainers and talking to others on ?300 phones, does not indicate to me that its poverty/social injustice etc.

I believe this was caused by:

1) Police let the looters of Saturday night get away with it and were seen to be ineffectual
2) I believe that this led to the "yoof" thinking, "hang on, get enough of us together and they wont do anything"
3) Sunday and Monday nights, again the police are seen as ineffectual
4) Spreads to the rest of the country as the police are now seen as pretty powerless against a large group of people.
5) Facebook/Twitter/Media all fuelled this by reporting on where and when and what.

What is needed, in my opinion, is some short hard shocks. Policeman sees hooded/scarfed persons running through the streets take the ~~~~ers down using hard but reasonable force. Shooting is just to far, but bumps and bruises, maybe some broken limbs will wake these koonts up to what can happen to them

as you've all said, discipline is a major factor + AGAIN stupid stupid government rules and regs, you cant hit children, never done us any harm, if I done wrong at school I got the BIG pe slipper across me arse, if I done wrong at home I get the end of me fingers canned, if I done wrong on the street I got punished by the police and then punished again when I got home. The other major factor is the government handouts to the scrum that keeps breeding, the more they breed the more money they got, they not parents they're just scum ~~~~~ing machines. It would never have stopped them BUT if they wasnt getting everything free from the goverment they might of thought twice about having the 2'nd, 3'rd or 4'rt kid, becuase they are to young themself's to be responsible and look after the kids properly

Not knowing who their dad is is pretty sad really, and is not their fault. The whole mentality is scum from the outset. Young girls getting pregnant with the very real prospect of no dad in sight is just a colossal strain on the coffers of UK plc. It then creates teenage thugs who have no respect for their parent/s because the parent hasn't a chance of their child witnessing normal family life. Of course there are some girls that manage wonderfully on their own with their child, and of course some kids are raised by both the young parents. But my guess is that those kids would not be a million miles near to the troubles witnessed over the last few days.


It's very noticeable to me the very low numbers seen of Pakistani or Indian kids involved in these scumbag riots. I firmly believe that family ties in both of these communities plays a big part. Of course this is a generalisation.
