Thats the people my statement was about. The ones that get the "he'll never work again" benefit. I went for dole dough when i was unemployed. Got ?65 quid a week for 6 months then got told to ~~~~ off as my mrs earned.

I know what you are saying Skegs. But we need to weed out the ones that have no intention of working.

I think this scheme is a good thing. It may open people eyes in thinking ~~~~ working 30 hours a week for my dole money. Id be better off working. Rather than the other way about.

if an unemployed person is working 30 hours a week, when are they going to have the time to look for a permanent job,

but if someone wants to do some training to better there chances of finding a job, you are only allowed to do 16 hours a week, they have it back to front.

Back to front. Ok lets get some of the ones who dont want to work do the 16 hours then. They will still moan that they dont get enough and would rather be on the dole.

I know its a hard place we in but it doesnt get rid of the leechers. A good hard kick of reality be good way of sorting them out.

Im not talking about people with real disabilities or people who cant find work. Im talking bout the scroungers.
As Lainie stated they know who they are but just continue to throw money at them whilst the real man/women get a right good kick in the arse.

To put it into perspective same thing. I know of a guy doing community service who works. He misses the odd day at the weekend and gets dragged to court. Along side him on community service are Junkies etc who have all the time in the world to complete theyre hours. But because they have a habit get overlooked and can do it whenever they feel like it.

Exact same with the job scene. One rule for one stereotype and another for someone else who trys but cant win.

Bout time we got the ~~~~ers weeded out and show them for who they are.

There has been a few thread in this section about scroungers and the payments they have received etc. We all know it goes on. I bet my house we all know of have heard from someone that another person does it.

Id rather just tax dodge than keep these people from doing what they "only know" what to do.

It's not only financial situations that need to be taken into account. The majority if not all of my mates that work have the added bonus of trying to fit family life around their work. I leave for work before 8am and don't get home until just before 6pm most days. I get 28 days holiday to try and re-charge my batteries and if I need a day off to sort out family issues it comes off of my holidays. I do this to provide a roof over my head and to support my family financially and moraly. I pay all my taxes etc and know that when I retire I'll get my pension. I'm also smart enough to realise that by the time I retire my pension will be hammered to support those that haven't paid their dues. If I get put in an old peoples home my house will be sold to cover my care.

I deal daily with the unemployed and single parents. I see them living in houses as good if not better than what I'm paying a mortgage for. When they get old their care is paid for. They get their medical and dental covered. The majority of their expences that I pay for are subsidised and they even get a token amount of money to live on. If they have a family problem to sort out they just get out of bed a little bit earlier and see who'll help them sort it. If they're pissed off with the World they just stay in bed. No having to put on a brave face and go out to work. The majority do cash in hand jobs to top up their money. If they want a holiday they don't have to plan it around work.

What I'm trying to get at is it's not just about getting the long term unemployed out to work it. It should be about making going to work beneficial. Using all the benefits the unemployed get I worked out if I went on the dole I would only have to do 2 cash in hand jobs per week to be on the same level of money I'm on now. That's two hours work per week and all the time to get a life, watch Jeremy Kyle, hang around the local pub or bookies. This is where the real injustice is. The unemployed should realise it's not just the fact the workers are supporting them that pisses us off, it's the added sacrifices we put up with that they don't even think about.
