    "BINGO" Eva

this is what it boils down to in reality is decency and what is lacking in any authoritative entities nowadays

ACCOUNTABILITY ! no apology as it might be a claim

a real and more sinister reason for the position of the doctor me thinks

sad but true of society not whats right but what's cost effective

maybe so, but you're still only looking at one scenario here, and refusing to open your mind to the other possibilities as well.

what i'm saying is i dont know what happened, and there are a few possible options.

yes if that is the case, that it's all about a possible insurance claim, thats sad but its people that have made society the way it is maybe the mother is doing this deliberately as she has her eyes set on a claim, ever think of it that way?

just playing devils advocate here, all i'm saying is the only people that can know the truth are the people that were there, and even their versions of it will all be different

"what if" is all ime hearing

well "what if" the young girl at 16 was in fact a virgin ?

and at six months pregnant maybe a few missed periods would maybe have been noticed along with other signs by her mother ?

"what if" the girl is not after financial compensation and is in fact offended by the doctors verdict and was looking for an apology as a form of closure for her ordeal of being
A/ not believed by the doctor (not all 16 year old's are promiscuous) and also could have suffered by the shock and also maybe her parents approach to the news ?

B/ and just say for instance all society is not money grabbing lawyered up greed ridden and rotten to the core ?

just seems many assumptions were made about an individual based on other peoples lifestyles

just shows people are not treated as individuals just packaged based on age and geographical stats and a few other statistics

this then must be the "WHAT IF" generation ?

        a sad reflection of society

in so much as the coder and Eva as being right here

this has nothing to do with assumption, it's to do with probabilities,
the doctor, if he/she admits liability, they have a lot more to loose than a few quid, it could leave them suspended for months, needlessly, while an investigation is carried out,
I know people who are convinced that there children have autism, but can not get a diagnosis from any doctor, which leads to lots of problems regarding educational needs, so it goes both ways,
at least this girl got a probable diagnosis, all but wrong, but it still meant she got treatment much quicker,
we're not talking about Harold Shipman here, this is a busy GP who made an understandable mis-diagnosis.

There's loads of areas in Public life where you are advised not to admit liability and to leave it to the lawyers etc to sort out. Most vehicle insurance policies advise not to admit liability and if arrested you don't admit liability until legal advice is saught or the case can get thrown out of court.

I'd give it time for the proper investigation takes place to see if the Docotr does or even has said sorry.
