    Is this for real?

Looks like the SPL want their cake and eat it too.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist defiant over title losses

Ally McCoist has sent a defiant message to the Scottish Premier League, saying Rangers will "never accept" being stripped of any of their titles.
The SPL is pressing for more sanctions to be handed out to the new Rangers before they are allowed to play in Division Three this season.
Rangers are being investigated for alleged undisclosed payments to players between 2001 and 2010.
"I will not be accepting any talk of stripping titles," said McCoist.
"That is something we will never accept and everyone at the club shares this view."

Rangers' SFA membership hopes hanging in the balance

A stand-off over media rights and a possible stripping of titles threatens to scupper Rangers' hopes of Scottish Football Association membership.
The SFA said on Friday that the new Rangers agreed to a transfer embargo in return for a license to play.
BBC Scotland understands two obstacles remain before a deal can be agreed.
Rangers want the Scottish Premier League to drop their investigation into dual contracts and the SPL want the SFL to hand over Rangers' media rights.
There must be a five-way agreement between the SFA, SPL, Scottish Football League, old Rangers and new Rangers before any deal is ratified.

Its all a bit crazy really. Thing is we are due to start our leagues up here in like 2 weeks time. And by the looks of things nothing is sorted. One way or another this should all have been put to bed by now. No matter what happens their are going to be unhappy and bitter fans. Lets face it real Fans of any club weather SPL,SFL ect did not cause this mess. But guess who is going to suffer.
It started out as quite amusing (from a non rangers fan point of view) but now its got to the stage of pantomime farce. SPL,SFA, need to sort thier shit out. The only ones that seem to have acted in any sort of professional manner is the SFL....and even then it was without the top brass backing.
I think some people in our game have just seen the gravy train leave the station and are trying to call it back. Too late now me thinks.
And yes being Scottish I do find the whole sorry saga embarrassing.

Rangers continue fight for fees after player exits

Rangers are continuing to demand compensation payments despite Fifa clearing former players to appear for their new clubs.
World football's governing body gave temporary clearance to Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith, Jamie Ness and Steven Whittaker despite Rangers' objections.
But Rangers stressed: "Fifa has not granted a free transfer to players who have, the club believes, unlawfully terminated their contracts."
Two clubs have already agreed fees.

The players had refused to have their registrations transferred from the old Rangers, as it headed for liquidation, to Charles Green's Sevco consortium, which is now due to start life in Division Three.
Coventry City were the first to announce compensation for Scotland Under-21 forward John Fleck and Southampton have now settled on a fee for former Rangers captain Steven Davis.
But Rangers' new owners still want money from Everton for Scotland forward Naismith, Norwich City for international team-mate Whittaker, Sion for Northern Ireland striker Lafferty and Stoke City for Scotland Under-21 midfielder Jamie Ness.

Everton boss David Moyes on agony of watching Scottish football meltdown

DAVIE MOYES did his patriotic duty by bringing Premiership big guns Everton north for pre-season preparations.
Having his star-studded side play friendlies here gives Scottish clubs a welcome financial boost.
But as he surveyed the wreckage of our game in the wake of the infighting over the Rangers fiasco, the Goodison boss admits he has never known fans in his homeland to be on such a downer.

Moyes wouldn***8217;t be surprised if some fans decide the game in Scotland no longer offers value for money and start to head down south instead every week to take in Premiership action.

How can SPL demand any think more from Rangers ?
They have expelled the "Old" Rangers from the SPL and imposed fines and sanctions on them....... they are talking of stripping titles away from them.......How long has there been an SPL ? how can they make decisions on history especially as they are only a recent part of it !!!
SPL want media rights from Rangers games in the SFL.......surely they have nothing to do with the running of the SFL so what makes them think they can demand media rights from anyone in the SFL.
Also as I said before they expelled the "Old" Rangers from the SPL and they have also refused entry into the SPL of the "Newco" Rangers........so what right do they have to demand anything at all that is to do with Rangers ?????

                              Without editing relevant discussion?
