Brian Kennedy confirms bid on table to buy club.
Sale Sharks owner Brian Kennedy has confirmed he remains interested in buying Rangers.
Kennedy, who was part of the Blue Knights consortium, was reportedly aiming to take a ?5.6m controlling interest in Charles Green's Sevco

It's just been on Raido Scotland backing up the claims from Green that he's had no approach from Kennedy and if he did he'd reject anyone having a controlling share.Comment

Ian Black and Craig Beattie train with newco
Former Hearts duo Ian Black and Craig Beattie are training with the new Rangers, the club have confirmed.
Charles Green's Sevco parent company is currently negotiating for the Scottish FA membership required to play Brechin in the Ramsdens Cup on Saturday.
But the chief executive praised Ally McCoist for lining up such signings.
"I think it's testimony to the manager. Rangers is a name, but it's also the manager that the players want to come and play for," said Green.

Rangers on verge of temporary Scottish FA membership to play Brechin tie
The Scottish FA are on the verge of granting a temporary membership to allow Rangers to play this weekend.
STV understands the governing body will allow the club to fulfil its Ramsdens Cup game with Brechin City, if holding company Sevco Scotland Limited agrees to meet certain conditions.
These include signing off on the transfer of the old company***8217;s member share in the Scottish Premier League to Dundee, which Duff and Phelps have retained despite being compelled to hand it over to the Dark Blues.

Conditional membership allows cup tie to go ahead
Rangers have been granted a conditional Scottish FA membership, which will allow Sunday's Ramsdens Cup tie with Brechin City to go ahead.
The relaunched Ibrox club have been trying to obtain the old Rangers' licence to play after the latter headed for liquidation.
But agreement between all interested parties, including the Scottish Premier League, had not been forthcoming.
The permanent transfer of membership is due to take place next week
A joint statement on behalf of the SFA, SPL, SFL and Sevco Scotland Ltd - the company relaunching Rangers - read: "Following the completion of all legal documentation, the Scottish Premier League will conduct the formal transfer of the league share between RFC (IA) and Dundee FC on no later than Friday 3 August 2012.
"At this point, the transfer of Scottish FA membership will be complete."
Dundee have replaced the old Rangers in the SPL after the SFL agreed to place the new Ibrox team in Division Three.
But the new Rangers needed membership to play any competitive matches in Scotland and negotiations over inheritting the old club's licence were protracted.
The club agreed to incur punishments handed to the old club over disrepute charges, including a year-long transfer ban, which is expected to begin on 1 September.

Ally McCoist criticises SPL's 'hostile agenda'
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has criticised the Scottish Premier League for pursuing "as hostile an agenda as possible" towards the club.
The relaunched Ibrox outfit have been granted conditional Scottish FA membership, allowing them to start their season at Brechin on Sunday.
Protracted discussions over membership, which involved the SPL, had placed the Ramsdens Cup tie in doubt.
"Rangers have not been punished enough in [the SPL's] eyes," said McCoist.
No one is denying that Rangers were badly mismanaged for 10 months," said McCoist. "Nor are we disputing that we should be punished for that. We have been. We accept that punishment and want to start putting the past behind us and move forward.
"But that is not being allowed to happen - and I have to ask myself why?
"In recent days, I have been in a number of meetings with Stewart Regan, Rod Petrie and other senior SFA figures - and despair at the lack of leadership shown.

Sky reveals new SPL TV deal for five years
Broadcaster Sky Sports has confirmed it has reached agreement with the Scottish Premier League to continue its coverage of Scottish football for at least another five years.
Five live Rangers fixtures in Division Three are included in the deal along with 30 from the top flight.

SPL confirm investigation into claims Rangers paid players through EBTs
The SPL has appointed an independent commission to investigate whether Rangers breached its rules in the way it paid its players over more than a decade.
The commission will determine whether the club breached the SPL's rules in relation to alleged EBT payments and arrangements for players between 2000 and 2011.

Rangers: SPL appoint commission to investigate payments
The Scottish Premier League have appointed an independent commission to rule on Rangers' alleged use of employee benefits trusts from 2000-11.
The Ibrox club's use of the scheme was the subject of a tax tribunal, which has yet to deliver a verdict.
EBTs were administered by the company that formerly ran Rangers and is now in the process of being liquidated.
The SPL say the commission will determine whether Rangers acted "in breach of the relevant SPL rules".
And a spokesman added: "In the event that the independent commission decides that such breach or breaches occurred the independent commission will have powers to determine what sanctions, if any, are appropriate."
A BBC documentary, "Rangers, The Men Who Sold The Jerseys", found evidence suggesting that 38 Rangers players had received side-letters giving undertakings to fund their sub-trusts with cash.
Scottish FA rules state that all payments made to players in respect of their earnings from football must be declared and clubs falling foul of those rules could face sanctions from the league.
The SPL launched an investigation on 5 March into the scheme Rangers used in an attempt to reduce their tax bill, with the probe covering the period stretching back to the competition's inception in 1998.
The league instructed lawyers, Glasgow firm Harper Macleod, to investigate the allegations of dual contracts.
Rangers' assets were sold to a group led by Charles Green after The Rangers Football Club plc could not be saved from liquidation.
Green's company, now known as The Rangers Football Club Ltd, have relaunched the club, who have been placed in Scottish Division Three after the SPL rejected an application by Green to take over Rangers' share in the top flight.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has insisted he would "never accept" the club being stripped of any of their titles during the period being investigated.
And Green said last week: "As we have proved in the last couple of months we will stand up to any challenges that face Rangers and will continue to fight for the club's best interests."
