The miners actions were asking to be slapped down and they got it, they were not elected to run the country neither was union at British Leyland or any other union.
if any are old enough then have you all forgotten what a state this country was in? IMF monetary bailout, 27% inflation, 97% tax rate on unearned income, from memory the top rate of tax on earned income was 80%. She was the elected leader this country needed at this point in time and she didnt lay down for anyone, i often wonder how many future leaders will have the guts to be open and
upfront on what they will do, not whats happening now by sneaking measures in by the back door like making changes to disability payments and silly bedroom taxes for people in rented property who are struggling to live, and i never expect anything from a politician of any party most are over paid and are millionaires why
should they give a monkeys if anyone struggles to live

Don't you love the way the Tories are rallying round saying how wonderful she was?- stabbed her in the back when they removed her from power.
