I think you'll find that, despite the half truths that MP's of every party tell, that the UK gets to choose for the most part which EU legislation it adopts - it's just sold to those as though it's been imposed. You'll notice that this government can take action against the EU when limiting bankers bonuses are under threat, but can't take action when anything else is under threat. Strange that they can "fight" when it comes to keeping their pals in money.

Back on OT - One other question really should be "Why is Rupert Murdoch, a known backer of the Tories, hanging out with Alex, and what has Rupes got to gain?"

I found a decent link showing the truth about the real financial side of Scotland's Independence taken from the experts that the Better Together side take select parts from. These are the bodies that quote the exact figures for the UK. A bit of a eye opener when you see how much shi@ the UK is in. Economics of independence presentation video : Business for Scotland

There was me thinking that Murdock was a known backer of the Labour Party and that nice Tony Blair or was that 1997 to 2010 then when labour lost he backed the tories
looks to me he waits and back the winner.
back on subject it is looking like there willl be a lot of people who will be very disappointed when Scotland gets independence first to be booted out will be the SNP
and a very left wing Labour party will take over. I notice Gordon Brown has started to take notice and saying what he wants if Scotland gets a yes vote .Perhaps he want the no1 job in Scotland

Nah Rupes has been a long time backer of the Tory party, though he did back Tony for a while - though that may have been his wife's influence.....,,, I think Alex had a golf course called Scotland up for sale to be used as a super golf course by Rupes employees, Glasgow, Edinbugh, Aberdeen, Dundee and so on to become his bunkers. More so if phones become a problem, perhaps Dave could lend a horse or two to be used as transport *shrug* Maybe the No. 2 jobbie in Scotland from his performance down here

Well it would allow for the rest of the UK to change the timezones without Scots farmers putting their 2 pence worth in to stop it, not that I agree with the way the MP put it. Let's face it better to have it light at a reasonable hour at one end of the working day for the majority in winter instead of dark until people are well on their way to work or dark before they set off home from work. Me, I'd sooner we had daylight until 6pm in winter
