saurez's grandfather is black and suarez is of mixed race....

why does it need to be about people coming out to defend him, there's nothing to defend.

So let me see if I have got this right.

Negritto is an acceptable term in Spanish but NOT in English...thats fair enough.

BUT is it acceptable for the Spanish speaking Utd players to call Evra Negritto...thats where I am getting confused, its either unacceptable or its not, you can't have it both ways.

Also...calling someone a Gypsy is not racially offensive. So racist abuse only covers some races.

Early on in this thread, myself and a few lfc fans agreed who ever was to be found guilty by the fa, should have the book thrown at them, let it be suarez or evra. But now all of a sudden the cap doesn't fit ??? get over the ~~~~in thing he was charged, move on.

Its all well and good you MU supporters saying to take the punishment but none of you have said Evra was wrong to call Suarez a Gypsy, even though Evra has admitted this in his statement.

The playing field has to be level....and NO I am not saying there is a conspiracy against us...not a chance, if it had been any other 2 clubs I would be saying the same.

You cannot make a guilty verdict against one player and allow the other player to make racist or offensive comments...its just silly to think that is acceptable.

I agree with Jaffa, it seems to me one was as bad as the other in name calling.....Racist ? Nah, not for me nor it seems the committee who issued the punishment, I find it odd Evra admits to using abusive language to Suarez but he gets off without any punishment. I'm neutral as far as the teams are concerned no interest in either but I'm a footy fan hence my comment here.

1. Because the FA want to make a statement after Blatters comments no matter how little evidence there was they were going to make a satement and make Blatter look silly, they used Suarez for it.

2 The team has backed Suarez that includes Glen Johnson and the other black players at the club.

3 Alvaro Pereira has come out and backed Suarez hes a black South American from Uruguay plays for Porto.

4 Mario Balotelli has backed Suarez

the guy has been found guilty by an fa tribunal for using offensive racist language at a time when there is a serious campaign to cut racism out of sport altogether.to which his own club gives full backing.so why then if the player admits to charge then pleads not guilty is there all this uproar at the severity of the sentence he received after all he admitted using the word nego which in my book is tantamount to admitting the charge in the first place if he is stupid enough to believe that because it's a part of every day speech in south america he can use it over here and get away with it he is either a liar or he aint blessed in the brains department,example visit saudi drink alcohol in public,then after you are charged tell em it's normal pastime where you come from.outcome found guilty locked up.only in this country we aint as severe when we dish out punishment.
