The Suarez case has dragged on way too long. It should be done and dusted as quick as possible, becuase now in both cases they have to consider the political implications - which are only there now becuase they have dwelled on it for so long.

Also, we have Chelsea supporters who on a European away game racially abuse Anton Ferdinand - and what do Chelsea do - NOTHING. FFS!!!!!!!

Before anyone has a go at Sepp Blatter, let us sort our selves out. We are the laughing stock of the world!
    Excellent point.

The FA complaining about several countries supporters is fine they should be highlighting it. But like you said, they should be getting their own house in order first - be beyond reproach as it were.

I think they are best keeping away from Blatter for the minute. They are leaving themselves wide open with how the England captain for one is being dealt with.

True, if they have any sense. Not something the FA have a track record on though.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

There is no argument to be had re whether the word is offensive and racist. Society and thank god football has deemed it to be racist a long while ago. Just because he's one of your players don't put up the defence about the word not being racist.. jeez.

By the way, I think it will be really hard to prove either way.
I'm not making a defense cause he plays for a team i support. It's just the word nigger is only racist when spoken from some one other than a black person. I'm tired of all the one way hoopla made over a word. Did it really hurt him? I doubt it. Get over it. No matter how much you try to make everyone the same we are still all different. Remember you can't be selective on who can't and can say words of hate you need to punish all or none.

Well said, no one should be allowed to say it and many black people do not say nor would they use it in a friendly way like these rappers do and some black players. It was offensive to their for fathers and it is still offensive now. These black people whether they are rappers, footballers or whatever are role models for the youths the way they act they are just showing its cool to say certain words and act in a certain way.

It is only offensive if a none black person uses it to a black person of course. It's all about in which context its used.

Going off thread but it ain't a black rapper's fault for a white person calling a black person a nigger. There isn't no grey area here. If you are not black and call a black person a nigger most if not every single black person is going to be offended. Simple. No excuse.

I will reiterate though, nothing is proved in this particular case as yet, so I'm not saying he's guilty or not.

There are alot of black people who condem rappers and other black people who use the N word in whatever walk of life or whatever context. But yeah if a white person uses it then it will be seen as more offensive but it shouldn't be used fullstop. In what context does it make it a nice word, the white men use to use it against the black slaves and now the black rappers or footballers use it like its a good thing.

                          THE TRUTH
                          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
